I finally had the long awaited brain scan today.
I had the information, and the address of the testing center.
Since I did not know where it was, I decided to do something I rarely do to make sure I was on time, and to take a taxi.
I clearly gave the taxi driver the address of the place, which was written on the information sheet I had. He looked at it, put it in his GPS, and drove me.
The problem was.. the place he drove me to, was not the testing office, but an apartment building on a side street/avenue.
So of course, I was like. WTF?
The driver told me I was close by, so I got out, and decided to try to find it.
Turns out, no dice, that was the only place with that address I saw.
I called the scan place, and explained the problem.
It turned out, that there are actually two places with the exact same address, close by.
The apartment building I was dropped off at, on a side street, and the testing center on the main BLVD, apparently a ways away.
Luckily, when I explained this to the scan place, they were very nice about it, and sent me what is apparently Access a ride or something like that.
I took the MRI Brain Scan. It lasted, 10-15 minutes.
When I asked them what the process of finding out the results, they said it will take 3-4 days for my Dr to get the results, and that if something wrong is found, the Drs office will call me.
Now I wait.
I left the scan office, and sure enough, a subway station was right outside their office, so I was able to jump right on a subway, and get home.
Then, if this was not enough.
My Atlanta Braves had a chance to close out the St Louis Cardinals in their playoff series, completely blew all the scoring chances the Braves had to put the game away, and forced a Game Five of the series, to decide the winner of the series, this Wednesday late afternoon.
How nice
A perfect ending to a perfect day.
Thankfully, Jim Gardner will be on to distract me tonight.
My neck and head hurt a bit, but it could be from lying in the MRI machine.
At least they played good music in the ears to distract the patient.
What a nice day.
