It Gets Better
I think we curvy girls/BBWs/chubby chicks {pick your moniker} need the equivalent of the "It Gets Better Project". Just stumbled on to the post of a lovely young woman that BROKE. MY. HEART. ....
It spoke to me and many of the daemons I myself fought and still fight with negative body image, finding clothes that fit and look sexy, feeling comfortable playing in front of others, believing people when they say you are pretty ... so here goes ...
I, GG - Curvy GIRL, size 18/20, bubba-lious butt from back in Mr Perry's 5th grade class - will say for here and now with all of FetLife/TMF as my witness ... IT GETS BETTER!
.... IT GETS BETTER .... you are already ahead of the game, girl, you are kinky! You are in the most "fat positive" community in the world! You are in a place where there are people that couldn't give a rat's ass if you were a size 0 or a size 36 as long as you let them tie you up, spank your butt, tickle you, suck your toes, dress up like a baby, have red hair, ect, ect!
... IT GETS BETTER .... so then there are the guys that are going to like you, and lust after you, and want you BECAUSE you aren't a size 0.
... IT GETS BETTER .... oh and there are women that are going to like you, and lust after you, and want you BECAUSE you aren't a size 0 too! [giggles]
... IT GETS BETTER .... and one day you will find that man or woman that will like you, lust for you, want you, and love you and will make you feel like you are the most beautiful creation in the world. That can't wait to get home at night so he or she can tie you up, spank your butt, tickle you, suck your toes, dress you like a baby, brush your red hair, or just sit on the sofa, make out, eat take out, and watch "Fight Club" .....
finally ... IT GETS BETTER ..... so those people called you fat in grade school and high school and it hurt, it hurt more than any physical pain you have ever endured. I know, believe me I know! But one day you are going to go to your ten or 15 year high school reunion, or run into someone from your childhood shopping at Target five years from now and they are going to be heavier than they were before, some might even call them fat .... and that my dear will be the a feeling, the a high, the a special, floaty, fuzzy space like no other, and you will smile and say hi. And You Will Know ...
