1. Fleet Foxes
Known for their "refined lyrics and vocal harmonies," I haven't heard much from this Seattle band that I didn't like. Specifically:
Mykonos
The door slammed loud
And rose up a cloud
Of dust
On us
Footsteps followed down
To the hollow sound
Torn up
And you were going to Mykonos
With a vision of a gentle coast
And a sun to maybe dissipate
Shadows of the mess you made
Finding a word that rhymes with Mykonos is awesome enough, but then to create a melody that invokes images of someone running to a Greek island to forget, is pretty outstanding.

American punk band from the first wave of the 70s, considered pioneers of hardcore punk during the 80s, mixing "experimental elements of British 70s punk with raw energy of the 1980s American hardcore punk scene."
