Woke up to the rainy, gray morning. Actually went to drawing class. I'm sitting there... minding my own business. We are on break. I'm on my Ipod ... trying and failing to connect to the internet. Then ... out of nowhere the model [in only a towel, mind you] comes up and starts chatting up a storm with me. He isn't bad looking at all. He is very toned and muscular. First we talk about Ipods and the game apps for them. Then, after an awkward silence, he mentions the quote on the back of my Washington DC sweatshirt which says "With God all things are possible". This developed into a Bible discussion. Another awkward silence, and he starts talking to me about college and art.
Now, I don't mind meeting new people. I love meeting new people. I just don't know how I feel about breaking the model and student boundaries. It would be one thing if he were fully clothed ... but no. Minutes before speaking with him I had just been drawing his... boy parts! After chatting with him he was no longer a stranger to me. So for the next 45 minutes I couldn't draw this guy. I started drawing the cloth and the table .... everything but him. It was so awkward. I can't even explain how weird it felt for me. It's like I knew he knew I was looking at his naked body. Bleh.
But anyways ... on to more exciting news!
My niece was born today! She is the most precious little girl I have ever seen. And Nathan, my nephew and her brother, get along GREAT!

I can't wait to spend more time with Emma tomorrow ... 🙂
