I haven't lived with my parents since I was about 17. I'm going to be 22 this year, and I'm living with my dad.
As of today, I'm being given a 1am Skype curfew.
Apparently I spend more time on the computer then I do with my son.
Ouch.
I'm kind of hurt by that comment. The majority of my day is devoted to my son. I wake up with him, feed him, play with him, bathe him. I usually nap with him during the day. He doesn't spend every waking minute glued to my hip.
I don't watch TV. I don't have the attention span to sit and watch an entire movie. I'm always up and doing things.
Yes, I do spend lots of time on my computer.
I have no life.
I have no friends to call or visit with, save for one. I have a whole network of people ready to support me right at my fingertips. So yes, I am often on my computer. My friends all live out of town. Scratch that, I'm the one who lives out of town and out of the way.
Really, my dad is just moody because my step-brother is being an inconsiderate little prick. So I understand the bitchiness.
But to go as far as to say that I ignore my own son for the internet is a really low blow. Because I don't.
