I have a big box of family pictures in my room, and was looking through them last night and this morning.
Most of them were taken long ago. In fact, the last picture taken of me and my mom was at my college graduation in 1994. I want to have someone take a picture of her, at the home, before she passes away. Either that, or I'll get a diposable camera, and do it myself.
Photographs are all we have left of our loved ones, and our memories. Of the pictures I've looked at, the only people still alive in them are me, my father, my mom's two sisters, my father's brother, and for now, my mom. In a few weeks, or a couple of months..the only way I will be able to see my mom, is by looking at a picture. My father had a sister, my aunt, who passed away of AIDS in 1990. She was a hemophiliac who had blood transfusions long before they screened blood for AIDS.
Life is so fragile. When your loved ones pass, the only way you can see them is by looking at a photograph, and of course, you have the memories that will always stay in your heart.
