my roommate got blown off by a girl this weekend. it made me mad. he has been infatuated with another girl for a very long time, and he finally started talking with this new girl, and she just avoided talking to him until the day of, and he couldn't call her or anything. fuck that bitch, what's she got to be playin' my friend for? people suck, but then again this relationship was kinda weird anyway.
we'll start with the fact the they met in class and talk in and after class all the time. but he has never asked her in person to go anywhere or do anything. I can tell that these two are into each other, it just seems like they are missing a very important step in getting this relationship off the ground, and that is actually asking each other out in person. the only other time they talk is on facebook via little instant message chat.
just a quick aside. I hate that fucking window. just let me check my photos and comments in peace.
anyway they rarely even talk on there. instead they just post messages on each others' wall all the time, so any communication problems here are a result of technology, not face to face time.
so my roommate finally asks this girl (or slyly messaged it) to do something with him, two weeks in advance! so for two weeks he is getting all nervous about this date, and she knows that it's happening. dinner and bowling. easy enough! well for the final three days before this date, this girl doesn't show up in his class, and does not speak to him via facebook or anything. he can't call her, because they don't trade numbers nowadays apparently except to text, I don't know. so he just has to sit at home and wonder what's wrong with himself, as the night that was supposed to be this great date turns to ruin.
I don't know about you, but this girl really made me mad. I don't know all the circumstances, but then they meet up in class the next monday and she acts like nothing was wrong. and of course, since my roommate is a nice guy, he doesn't pry and just lets himself get walked upon. what's with kids these days? is technology hurting the good old fashioned "want to go grab a bite to eat?"
