Today it finally happened.
I had to do it, it was a long time coming.
I put T on the ignore button on my social media sites, took his number out of my phone, and put him on ignore there as well.

T had been extremely verbally abusive on and off since his mother passed away in 2020.
Last summer when I was seeing T often, he also had bouts of it.
T's now ex gf showed me pictures on her phone last summer of T's repeated drunken behavior.
I dont remember if I posted that one night about a year ago., I was down visiting T, and this woman was living with T at the time.
I was sleeping upstairs, T was sleeping downstairs, and I went upstairs to go to sleep.
The next think I knew, T's then gf screamed for me to come downstairs. T was extremely drunk, he threw an alcohol bottle against the wall.
T's gf then and I sat with T all night, and the next night they had another fight, and T's gf either left on her own or T threw her out, I dont remember.
Thus who got to remain with T all weekend as he was having bouts of on and off drunkenness? Yours truly
Since then, T has broken up with that woman, who was a former gf who he had reconciled with for a time.
T has gone back with another woman who he had been with in the past as well.
T's behavior since he has been with this woman has been worse than ever.
When I was at the hospital for my Dad's shoulder surgery with my uncle in March. After my uncle and I spent a very tense day waiting for my Dad to come out of surgery, when T called me., T said "Get back to work" Like T was my boss.
In May a gentleman from an eating place in my neighborhood who I knew was tragically killed during either a robbery or was just shot dead while on his bike. The incident made the NY news media.
All I posted on one of my social media pages was.
"Saddened by the tragic death of (The gentleman who was killed and then his name)
All of my other social media friends on that page were making tear and heart signs.
T's comment was "Mitch, did this man's family ask you to post this, if you want to draw attention to yourself, you are doing a good job of it"
I did not have time to get into it with T, because this vicious comment by him, was posted literally either the day before or the morning of my Dad's emergency surgery, so of course I had far greater things on my mind.
If someone does something nasty, or uncivil to me, T will get nasty himself, and always take the other person's side.
Last week I had merely mentioned to T that my Dad is having a problem with his eyes. (Which my Dad is,, but God Willing its getting better)
T never even said
"Mitch, I'm sorry your Dad is having a problem with his eyes, I hope he feels better"
T's comment was.
"Mitch, I have to worry about myself, I cant deal with anyone else's problems"
While he is in the meantime talking to other friends on social media, and positing pictures of himself.
T has also been sending me nasty posts on a social media site incognitio.
Enough is Enough.
My Dad told me to overtly call T and tell T to go fuck himself.'
I simply do not have the energy to get into it with T with my Dad's health issues this year, and my own, considering my migraines. (Which are now hopefully God Willing better after my Botox shots)
I dont like having to end long term friendships, but in this case, with T's abusive, controlling, nasty behavior, I simply had no choice.
