Not long ago I had the pleasure of meeting Achilles to talk tickling. He is an amazing artist and an all around great guy. I thought you'd like to know a little about him and his art as well.
Included in this interview is a couple of free pieces from achillesheelart.com... and as a special treat, the artist has allowed me to share two members only pieces. Talented, a tickling enthusiast and generous; it doesn't get better than that! Enjoy!
GT: Where do you get ideas for your drawings?

AHA: My ideas spring from all kinds of places. Sometimes I find a particular piece of photo reference of a guy in a really vulnerable position, and I build the drawing around that. Occasionally there's a celebrity that I'd really like to see tickled, and I find some reference online of them laughing. A few drawings have evolved from funny pun titles that I came up with first.
GT: Any ideas you have had to reject and why?
AHA: There have been a couple, and I'm changing the way I'll be taking feedback in the future. I've had requests for drawings of characters that were too young. Every character appearing on my site needs to appear to be at least 18. Also, some requests have been so very specific that the finished drawing would mostly just satisfy that one person.
GT: Several pieces on your site are favorites of mine. Likely, because a guy tickling a guy is part of my work, I'm a big "fantasy" fan and I love "unexpected" tickle scenes. For example; Man Tickling Plant, Plaything of The Giants and Tentickles from your collection are favorites. I also love Camping Alone, Prison Revolt, and Look Out below by Sloth, Prehysteria by Chesire Cat, The Bare-Wolf of London and Send in the Clowns by Wez, and Robottoms by Nomar. But of course, Thrown to the Wolves, which is your work, is an all time favorite because it's based on me and a scene you and I talked about. What are some of your favorite pieces?
AHA: Sloth has some great ones. He did a Mike Rowe "Dirty Jobs" piece that I loved. I also liked a piece he did with a pirate and a cabin boy...it was very sensual. Wez did a piece called "The Machine" that really turned me on. I love tickling machines. He also did a wonderful homage to the Masters of the Universe series called "Hee Hee Hee Man". I loved a piece Blithwulf did of Bluto, since I've always had a crush on him. Bluto, that is. My own personal favorite drawing is the recent one I did called "BAC to the Asylum" which featured some really intricate bondage.
GT:What was your hardest drawing?
AHA: The hardest drawings are the ones with a lot of characters. Setting up a scene with 4 or more guys is always a challenge. I think the hardest drawing so far was a recent one called "The Big Payback" which featured 6 guys who were in suits and sheer socks. Drawing clothed guys is always more of a challenge for me than drawing naked ones.
GT: What's your blog about other than your work?
AHA: I try to make the blog a destination for fans of male feet and tickling, and not just a place where I talk about my main site's updates. I've got a pretty large collection of foot and tickling photos that I like to share, though I'm careful not to pirate images from other pay sites. I'm also a huge nerd, so occasionally you'll
see a review of site that I like or a picture of my current favorite action figure.
GT: Clearly you are very creative. What is your biggest tickling fantasy?
AHA: One of my biggest fantasies was actually acted out and filmed at a FootFriends party a long time ago because I'd written in to request it. I have a thing for feather tickling, and I wanted to see a guy strapped down and tickled by about 10 guys all holding a different kind of feather in each hand. The problem was, the guy they picked for the fantasy wasn't ticklish! I'd still like to see that scenario again, this time with a guy who is truly feather sensitive.
GT: If you could tickle 5 guys, real or characters, who would they be?
AHA: That's a tough one. Matt Damon. I'm from Massachusetts originally, and he's got that Southie tough boy sexiness that I grew up around. The wrestler Bill Goldberg. His body is just perfection to me, plus taking a wrestler down a few pegs would be hot. Frank DeFeo, who has appeared on MyFriendsFeet and has his own site. He's insanely sexy, super ticklish and has amazing feet. Lou Ferrigno (are you sensing a pattern here?) C'mon, who wouldn't want to tickle the Hulk's feet? And finally, let's go with Bluto. That old scene of Popeye tickling his feet had a profound effect on me. But the list could really go on and on...
GT: I know that while I am filming and even editing, that I am aroused. Does your work arouse you?
AHA: You know, it's funny but it very rarely does. I think the reason is similar to the theory about why you can't tickle yourself: there's no element of surprise. When I'm with a drawing from start to finish I'm more concerned with the anatomy, the perspective, etc. I find the work of other tickling artists much more arousing than my own. I got into the wrong aspect of this business. You video guys have all the
fun.
GT: Do you do commissions?
AHA: Like I mentioned before, I'm going to be transitioning out of taking requests for drawings for the site, but I wouldn't turn down private commissions, within reason.
GT: Speaking of commissions, I get asked quite a bit about when or if I am ever going to get tickled. I feel like a piece based on some of my models - or Achilles himself - tickling GuyTicke could be fun. But that leads me to another question; are you a tickler or ticklee or both?
AHA: I'm a true switcher. I really enjoy both roles.
GT: So you are ticklish! Where?
AHA: I'll never tell! It's probably a bad idea to give away your worst spots in a public forum. I will say that, sadly, I'd probably disappoint a lot of the foot guys. My feet aren't my most ticklish spot. Guys who like to tickle above the waist would have a lot of fertile territory with me.
