The story is this.
My Dad thought he was going to need double hip replacement surgery.,
After finding out he does not, he called me and said. "Mitch its a clot, thats "good news" and they are going to take it out.
I called him this morning, no answer. I was getting worried. Four hours later my Dad's number came up, but I could not hear him. I called him back, no answer voicemail.
My worry was increasing through the day of course.
Several hours later, my uncle called. I have not spoken to him much since I saw him during my Dad's planned surgery in early March.
My uncle said.
"Mitch, I wanted to let you know that your father was taken into surgery with a clot, if I were you, I would go to the hospital"
I went running on the subway to the same hospital my Dad had surgery in March2.
I went to the ER. They found my Dad's name and they told me he was in surgery,
They had my Dad's at home nurse''s number, she told me to come home, and that we could not see him tonight, and to come back tomorrow.
When I got back to town, my uncle texted me, and told me that my Dad was out of surgery, and all had gone well,. Thank God.
Now we wait.
If I know my Dad, he will call or text when he wakes up. If not, hopefully God Willing he will get through the night okay, and I will call and go to see him tomorrow.
Any prayers would be appreciated.
The past two plus months have just been too much for my Dad.
I managed to make it down and up several large flights of stairs on the subways carefully without falling.
Right now, my Dad just needs his family, and we have to be there for him.
Sigh! My Dad has had a terrible road the past three plus months and before.
Hopefully this will finally be his last surgery, and he will on the road to recovery.
