The following is what I am now dealing with.
First, the positive.
My Dad, my uncle and I met for lunch in Manhattan today, and we had a very nice time.
Now, the issues.
My Dad;'s physical condition is not good.
My Dad seems to have his full always positive attitude and outlook on life.
Yet, he now walks with a cane, has many physical problems, and gets very tired very easily.
In fact, my uncle is supposed to have a 75th birthday party tomorrow in NJ.
My Dad clearly was not feeling well today. When I got home, he called me, and said he had gone straight to sleep when he got home. Apparently , my Dad is not going to be able to make the party. Since I saw my uncle today, I asked my uncle if he would mind if I skipped the party, since the only other people there would be a bunch of cousins who I have not seen in many years anyway, and my uncle said that was fine with him.
My Dad swears that he and I are going to Vegas to see my uncle sometime soon. I told him that his health has to come first, but he said something like. "Mitch, I know my physical capabilities"
As for me.
I had my Botox shot on Sept 27, so this Tuesday will be three weeks.
Last Monday I had lunch with my Dad alone, and my hands started shaking uncontrollably, and I dumped a drink all over the table. Luckily the same thing did not happen at lunch today.
Then, ,my physical condition is far from good.
This week, when I was doing routine chores around town, I was getting dizzy spells, sweating, and getting very tired very quickly.
Yet , today I felt fine. I walked 10 blocks, or a half a mile from the place I met my Dad and my uncle for lunch, to the nearest subway station to get me home on a direct train from Manhattan to Queens, and I felt fine.
Good days, and bad days.
Probably due to my Epilepsy, Migraines, and dizzy spells.
So that was this week.
I;m of course disappointed that my Atlanta Braves season ended this afternoon with a loss in the playoffs.
This week, however, far more significant things happened to my family and myself, and that is what mattered most.
