Two casino/gambling stories from Wednesday and today that saved me from a potentially major hit, and having to take a break from my favorite place for a while.
Wednesday.. was losing badly at the slots, and horses, to the tune of.. $100.. until I hit a $70 trifecta on a race, and walked out losing only in the $30s, much more.. reasonable.
Today.. went back.. had a horrible day..again.. many losses, of the frustrating variety.. with two of three coming in on every trifecta, etc. The loss.. around $75, and again, maybe a casino hiatus.
I take the subway home.. walk into the convenience store.. buy.. a $5 rub off lottery, and win.. $50... soo.. my losses for the day.. are a much more manageable.. $20 or so. Whew! Its amazing that such happened twice in a row, to prevent me from taking a big loss. Before Wednesday, I was playing with their money, because I was still playing off the $200 plus that I won a couple of weeks ago.
Potentially, Barney had said he wanted to go to the casino on Sunday. If I hadn't won the rub off lottery.. no go.. Now.. I can.
