Yes, I am sure of that as well.I am certain we both can do a lot to help the economy.

It definitely needs some help.
Today I will not harp on problems, but just wish everybody a Merry Christmas.
Now that Christmas is over, it is time to think about New Year's resolutions.
I resolve not to sell my soul and become a lawyer.
That one should be easy to keep.
I hope so. I dont want to lose my soul.
Absolutely not, my friend. Hang on to your soul above all else.
To return to the original topic of this thread:
I had a computer problem this morning, a loud humming noise upon turning on my laptop. It turned out to need a new fan. The fan was only $40, but the labor to install the fan was $112.50.
Oh well, at least my laptop is working quietly again.
Yes, it should be simple to replace a fan. The $112.50 that they charged for labor is a claim that it took them 90 minutes to replace the fan. I doubt it, but they do have to pay the rent on a storefront just off Columbus Avenue (a gentrified location).Glad its working again. Luckily fan are fairly easy to repair.

The labor charges for computer stuff are as bad as for plumbers and tv repair guys. just insane.
Yes, it should motivate me to learn to do such repairs myself.
Yea that can save a ton of money.
Which is important to me now that I am retired.
do not fear---I am here
I have a new part time job as Ronald Frump's hair stylist
It would be good if Chris could fix computers. Can you fix computers too?
