All I had was The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, George Jones, Levi jeans, No AIDS, gravel roads, 75 cent beer, great fishing, a State winning basketball team, and......did I mention Daisey Dukes and halter tops as far as the eye could see? We did have a lot of fun Josh. But we also had Vietnam, Nixon's resignation, Jimmy Carter and his 24% interest rates with bank loans. Each generation has it's highs and lows, and a good share of bullshit. All in all, you would have had a great time down here 35 years ago.

I love them! I haven't been on one in ages. Round here it's too expensive to bother to go to the amusement parks. Sounds like fun to me.

We also had a Dog-N-Suds restaurant where the girl served you in your car and she wore roller skates......but Dairy Queen was still the Best even back then.

No bother at all. I did indeed listen to the Allman Brothers on both LP vinyl 33's and in my mounted 8 track tape player. Now think of a younger me with long blonde hair halfway down my back driving a 1968 Ford Fairlane Fastback 500 with two foot long stereo record player speakers in the back and my friends or date crusing the countryside all weekend when gas cost 65 cents per gallon. Me wearing worn out jeans and a t-shirt and Steph wearing Daisey Dukes and a halter top. I was more of a gearhead than a farmer. LOL

Thanks buddy. We were very pleased with how it went.

We didn't have much time with anyone in the 40ish hours we were there and spent mostly either sleeping or being sick. We'll do better next year. Hopefully I'll see you in November.
