  • I don't know the name yet, that's why I haven't told you. :p I find that out when I get the ticket tomorrow. I am told it got a fantastic review, so that bodes well.

I understand the whole divorced thing, although the distance my parents were separated by made it a bit harder to have two of things. When it requires a plane or 12 hour drive to make the trip, it's just not workable. :p

I hope you're enjoying your birthday! I hope, too, that the R. Lobsterfest was good, as it's probably done now.

Don't celebrate too much. It'll make going back to school Monday so depressing. xD
Into photography, yes. Good at it? Heck no. I just take bad pictures.

I'm telling you, I can get into most any song given enough time. Allow me to give you an example. Take the Cake Song from Lazytown:
    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1lqfQi7146U&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1lqfQi7146U&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

After listening to it a few times, I actually started to like it. :D

I'm heading into NYC on Saturday, but that's it. No real plans, aside from a play, although I am going to pick up a print of a painting at the Met that I liked the last time I was there.

I assume you're going to put all your weekend excitement into tomorrow. :p
Hey, some of the Land Before Time sequels were good! I confess that I enjoyed all the ones that I've seen (I believe through number 8). Shut up, I am not weird. :p

Scarily enough, I think I could get into that song if I played it a few times. I tend to be able to like any music given enough repeats (gansta rap may be the exception, as it doesn't have a real melody for me to grasp). :D

The year long thing is less impressive when you realize it should have been done last summer. :p Or more impressive, depending on your viewpoint.

Bah, I iz tired and not yet done. Wasted too many hours today taking pictures. Curse my time-consuming hobby ...
No one says sequels are about us enjoying them; they're about squeezing more dollars from a franchise. Squeezing I say!

Yes, boo on me working. I'm continuing to procrastinate, but if I can do a bit more tonight, I might finish a nearly year-old project. Then I can do more homework that is due tomorrow. :p Someone kill meeeeeeeeeee ...

*Poorly imitates Xena's battle cry, imbuing it with frustration and anguish* :D
LMAO!! :D Well... that makes me feel better... sorta :p LOL, just kidding... I still feel like I'm 25, so it's all good :happyhop: Can I buy you a beer in the US yet? Or do you have to be 21 in KY? :fingerscrossed:
No lolpic this time; trying to work. :p

Nothing wrong with Phantom's music; it's just different. Phantom is very powerful and operatic, as it should be. A show like In the Heights is fiery and imbued with Latin American flavor, as it should be, given its subject. Spamalot's music is comedic and varied, befitting its subject. Each is good. I too like the music of Phantom. I didn't actually see that one on Broadway; I saw it at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, CT many, many moons ago.

How would he make a sequel? Well, the Phantom didn't really "die" at the end, so I suppose it is possible. Milking it for all it's worth, Loyd Webber is. :D
I agree! I'm more liberal-minded as well. If wanting equal rights and fairness for everyone makes me a liberal, then I'm proud to be one. Some folks don't seem to understand that I can be liberal and a Christian, liberal and patriotic, liberal and, well, you catch my drift. :p
So that's where that song came from. Looks like it'll be a good show in May indeed. :p

Phantom is a fun one. All the tradition and ceremony of Broadway. Not so much fire in the music, though. Rent and In the Heights have that. Seems every play has its own little spark.

    Part II:

Yeah, I'm more of a left thinker I guess but I'm not going to make fun of someone for thinking differently. It makes for an interesting debate most times! I don't think that everyone who is a Republican or Independent is bad. Damn. Sorry about the rant. :jester: I'm just a gal from Pittsburgh that wants equal rights for all damn it! :p

Can't we all just get along? :p

And birthday was good! Very very nice! :)
And that's the thing! You'd think that the end of the world was coming if you go and see some of the topics in P&R. :jester: Holy crap, it's like, take some Midol folks! :p I can understand why folks might be worried about the bill and all but for those of us who think things are getting blown out of proportion, we're not bad folks either. I really think that five years from now, things are going to be better, not worse. Just like life, the bill is a work in progress. There's no quick fix for anything that's as important as healthcare. Trust me, I've seen enough in my own personal life to know that our current system is HORRIBLE. And most know my story by now. Not everyone in there but some of them use the same argument over and over and over, no matter what the topic is. To a few them, anything left is the devil.
Wooo hoo!!! :woot: That is definitely cause for celebration! :happyhop: Any big plans? :excited: Yup, mine is just around the corner too! Another year older! :cry1: Haha... it's all good XD
Oh I agree! There's a lot that needs tweaked but at least it's something!!! That's what drives me crazy about those crazy conservative folks....they'll bitch and whine about everything and anything but you know, then HELP with coming up with a solution. Something, anything.
Love you too darlin!!! :twohugs: :p
