Your battery may have taken a power surge some way, or, it could just be a badly made battery. As far as the adware goes. I think you might want to consider trying to download some other adware cleaner than the one from the ads themselves.

Do you mind me asking how old the phone is? Because, and again let me say that phones aren't my specialty, however, the fast draining and slow charging MIGHT be a battery issue.
