Comfort Eagle was saying how back in the day, F/M clips were frowned upon.....and so to celebrate how far we've come, here's four F/M clips from the silent era!
(...actually two of these are sound clips....but of silent movie queens!)
First, 107 years ago, the great, great French comedian Max Linder (huge influence on Chaplin) gets examined by a female doctor. (slightly long for mainstream)
Two Mary Pickford scenes (even in these scenes you can see how great she is):
First she tickle searches her boyfriend (quick)
and then, completely playing against type in one of her last roles as a French chorus girl, she tickle attacks her married boyfriend into hysterics as he tries to talk to his wife. (pretty long scene for mainstream!)
Lastly Louise Brooks and a (male) friend poke a guy. (quick)
Enjoy!
