I'm not into that show, either. Maybe it has something to do with how I read in the local paper a few months ago about that "Steve-O" guy going into a Houma nightclub, getting up onstage, and stapling his scrotum to his thigh.

Damn, I haven't seen anything nearly as sick even during Mardi Gras.:sowrong:

That does sound sick, He-Man, but here's why I'm not into that show, either:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20021018/tv_nm/jackass_2

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A woman has sued cable TV network MTV, its parent company Viacom Inc., and a cast member of its daredevil show "Jackass," claiming she suffered injuries in a stunt performed while taping a program.

In the suit filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Wendy Linden of Riverside, California alleges she suffered spine and knee injuries after cast member David England ran across a stage and "using his body as a missile" crashed into a lectern near Linden.

The lectern hit Linden and knocked her to the concrete floor causing the injuries, according to the suit.

Linden's attorney, Los Angeles-based Eric Yuhl, said Linden has had surgery for a herniated disc and her knee injuries could be symptomatic of nerve damage. He said she also suffers post traumatic stress syndrome.

When a TV show is sued, you KNOW something's terribly wrong.

I agree that little stunt was also wrong. What's bad about the Houma stuff is that "Steve-0 " asshole got free after his bail was paid for.

Too bad they couldn't have made his bail so high that no one could pay it off, so his dumb ass would still be sitting in the slammer. Bad enough he was being sick...now he's also gotten free after he's broken the laws around here. Ugh. :sowrong:

I like the show, and steve-o. i personally wouldn't staple my almond joys to my watchamacallit; i'd be screaming Oh Henry till the cows came home (heh...it's a little...candy bar joke...sorry)

What they do shouldn't be repeated, it says so a billion times in the show. They're just stuntguys having fun with their jobs...although it is unfortunate that a bystander was injured during one of the stunts. MTV has the $$ to settle the case though, and if you're pleading "Post Traumatic Stress" and nonsense like that, it's safe to assume it's nothing a few million dollars and a bucket of painkillers won't fix...

just my 2 cents,
scoob

Naw

I used to like it...it's getting old now though....I liked the Andy Dick show myself...
