I wouldn't say that I'm "into it". I haven't had a weapon in my hand since moving to CT...well, other than feathers and stuff. But, I used to go shooting a lot with my dad. He had few handguns...a lugar, a 38 special, a 22, a 44 and something else that escapes me at the moment. I was best with the 22. I liked to power of the 44. But, it had too much kick for me to be very accurate. Every time I fired it, my hand would be numb for a couple minutes since the recoil always seemed to hit the nerve between the palm and thumb.
We never did pro ranges or anything. We were near a field and woods. So, we'd go out there, be sure we were clear of people and choose a spot with a soft hillside behind it to absorb any misses. If there were a place where I could practice without having to pay a ton of money, I'd love to take it up again. Good for developing focus.
