I tend to analyse that way automatically.
In this case it was the application of human behavior, past observation and experience, and some core aspects of the psychology of interpersonal dynamics that all helped to provide basis for my opinion. All of those were 'pre-loaded' so to speak, so when it came time to form the idea, I had them at hand. From there it was simply a matter of writing it up.
In the case above I was in a bit of a hurry so I tended to leave it in abstract from without fleshing it out too much, but the idea still czame across to folks.
Overall this sort of thinking is a reflection on how I've taught myself to see the world. Many who practice the skill call it 'Mindfulness'. In short, it means trying to be aware as possible of the full result of any action you may take, and to be responsible for those results. It lends itself to analytical study of things very well.
