Canadian Icon Gordon Lightfoot Passes Away at age 84

Canadian folk singer Gordon Lightfoot passed away earlier today at age 84.

He was still performing until earlier this year when health issues forced him to cancel his tour. RIP.

Whenever I’d drive from Phoenix to Wickenberg on the Carefree Highway, I’d always think about him..RIP.

He was amazing! Artist. Wordsmith. Gentleman.

I’m glad I made it a point to see him in concert a few years back.

The day after his passing, that cathedral bell rang 30 times. 29 for the Edmund Fitzgerald's crew and and an extra for the man who immortalized their memory in song.
