I really do not see what the big deal is. I really can't imagine the audience boo'ing tickling. Could anyone give some examples of any scenario that you can imagine that would make Sandman and/or the rest of us look like fools? What's the worst case scenario?

Worst Case...
1. Sandman is on springer, the show takes the wrong turn by overemphasizing the erotic side of tickling, twisting the fact that some of us are turned on by it... to the national audience, we're now a bunch of perverts.
2. Other lesser tabloid shows pick up on it, ticklephiles blinded by the spotlight jump at the chance, not even caring that it further solidifies the mainstream portrayal of the person who gets excited by tickling as a pervert.
3. Somewhere, probably high school or college, someone not even turned on by tickling attempts to take advantage of a harmless tickling opportunity only to wind up being accused of being a pervert... just as if the poor kid ripped off her shirt and grabbed her breasts.
4. The gradeschool programs, like "good touch, bad touch", which are great programs BTW, all of a sudden begin to stress that tickling by anyone is inappropriate and should be reported.
5. YOU are at work, a cute coworker is in a precarious situation and you go for a quick tickle (EVEN IF IT'S NOT A TURN-ON), BAM, you are fired and/or brought up on sexual harassment charges.
6. ALL OF US who surf the web and end up on tickling sites (Like this one) end up being tracked by the FBI's "Carnivore/Magic Lantern" system.
7. Possessing a video or magazine of fully clothed women being tickled is now just as bad as having pornography
8. Your wife/gf/etc... who had no problem with your tickling "fascination" before, now decides to either leave, cut you off from tickling, or makes you seek therapy...

It could get REAL ugly... the fact that something that is not a universal turn-on turns you on should NOT be heralded from the rooftops, it should be kept as closely guarded as you can, something to be shared only between your favorite "lee" and at places like TMF, where other like-minded (not always in agreement LOL, just like minded with regards to tickling) ,THINKING people gather to share thoughts and ideas.

That's the worst case, in my opinion... anyone have anything worse?

Anyone remember the LegShow story?

Many years back, in LegShow, there was a piece of fiction about 2 girls who were invited onto a talk show to get revenge on their byfriends boss, who was going to be "outed" (and not that he agreed to it, it was the producer's idea) as a foot fetishist. they thoroughly humiliated the guy (using their feet) and forced him to remove his mask. This is probably a good guideline for what springer would be like... Anyone remember that story?

For some reason ,the legShow authors seem to think that fetishists like to be humiliated, I remember reading those articles thinking that they couldn't have been more off base, at least in my case. i would guess that ticklers don't share the same sense of self-depreciation and need for dominance that LegShow tried to apply to foot fetishists... I'm sure many of us also have other "interests".

I would not have the guts to do it. I'm not "out" about my fetish at all...but I think its really great that you made the call. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you probably have the tickling community's support in going on the show, if thats what you decide to do. But it must be a really difficult decision. Wow, what a predicament to be in. Well, best of luck with whatever you decide to do.
