D&D 3rd Edition Nymphology Excerpts

So, me being the roleplaying geek that I am, I stumbled a cross an interesting supplement. It’s Encylopaedia Arcane’s Nymphology: Blue Magic, and it contains a few references that might be of interest to ticklophiles in its description of the Plane of Lust

It reads, “The plane of lust is relatively benign, only the further reaches become threatening, with the chances of spanking, rough horseplay, and tickling increasing only as you head deeper and deeper into the plane.”

I’m surprised they made an active mention of tickling as one of the dangers of the plane.

Another description of interest, without an actual tickling mention is part of the Nymph Forests…

“Further into the plane some of the forests take on a darker aspect, covered with vines that make good ropes, tree roots that tangle feet or could hold them in place, trees with bark like soft leather, and fruit just the right size for a ball-gag.”

It’s the “tangle feet or could hold them in place” that catches my attention. Sounds rather similar to the tickle plants found in many stories and drawings.

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW FAR YOU HAVE TO TRAVEL ACROSS THE SHADOW PLANE TO GET TO THE PLANE OF LUST? It is a long, tedious trip man. Just stepping foot in there is a pain. Plus, one wrong step and you are on the plane of wrath or sloth, if not the abyss. I am usually a pally or an exalted, anyhow. If I am on the plain of lust, it is for business, not pleasure.....

I need to rethink my life, both fictional and material.

It’s cool, Kiwichx! I’ve got a couple of deities who owe me a favor. I’ll just get one of them to pull a True Portal. No trouble.

And as I either play a chaotic good aligned cleric or a half-orc barbarian, I am in this for the good times, and good times only! Party on!

well i'm all for a good party..with this damn weather i need a plane of something..and since i fell down the stairs sunday night, i'm out of commission for a few days, due to my hurt toe..so i can't exercise..grrr

Woot for a female presence! I’d afraid the phrase D&D scared off all the girls (though I find that ironic, since half of my current roleplaying base here are girls. XD)

And massive sympathies, Isabeau. I know how that feels. I had a skating injure recently… skating on ten feet of rug after a nasty fall. Got a pair of rugburned arms for my trouble, not to mention a massively brushed leg. But that’s okay, we’ll limp off to the party together. X3

God, I remember that supplimental... I even had a spell flinger once that I felt would be perfect for a couple of the spells out of there. Begged the DM to let me allow 'em, but he said no. Sucks...

Still, I have to remember my pixie rogue that could open planar portals... Yeah, she'd totally get herself to the Plane of Lust.

Always a good tool in tickling! I have a +2 brush I’ve been meaning to test out, and a modified Evard’s Tentacles. XD

Master at tying ropes and have a +3 Claw that has a +5 tickle setting. Now let's get that portal open!
