Do men get in to the tickling lifestyle the same way women get in to it?

This is what I have noticed is that whenever you ask a man how he got in to tickling, he will tell you that he was young and saw cartoons, or was young and saw someone being tickled, or was young and heard it talked about. Its always indirect mentioning, or indirect instances from others. The woman find out directly by being tickled senseless. They say they had a boyfriend who got them in to it, meaning the boyfriend tickled them. Is this true?

I guess it was indirect instances for me too, because I'm a guy, and it developed over time from when I was young, and no, I wasn't even having sex yet, but I did start to get sexual feelings, and not just from tickling. I don't think it was from seeing it in cartoons though. But it definitely started when I was very young, about 5 years old. I'd see others doing it with each other, or they'd do it to me, and I began thinking about it more and more.

I think I was about 7 or 8 when my parents took me to their friends' house, and I was playing with two other kids in their room, both about the same age as me. The one girl must've had some kind of "thing" for it, because she kept saying to the other kid, "Let's play cowboy, I'm going to tie up your feet!" So she ties up his feet with a leather belt and starts tickling his soles. And she'd be saying, "Tick tick tick!"

That may have had something to do with it. This girl no doubt had a tickling fetish, and from a very early age too.

Well, I DID see cartoons when I was young, and that DID influence me a lot, but I also had a very good sport of a Mother who would let me tickle her feet occasionally. That, too, pushed me into it.

well I reckon I always had a thing for tickling since before I can even remember, then later in childhood me and my brother got severely tickled by 2 aunties which got me hooked on the idea of actually tickle torturing (although obviously I didnt know that word) and then later in junior high I saw an extremely thorough prolonged tickle torturing by a load of people on someone in my grade and thats when I actually decided to do it too

I'm sure there are exceptions, but I got started the way you describe most men getting started and most women I talk to say it as you describe as well. So I think usually, you are right.

I don't understand the question. IMHO tickling is much more of a guy fetish. About 90% of the women out there hate being tickled and have no interest in tickling whatsoever. Dudes on the other hand are much more into it.

The way you described it for men, and often how I hear women describing it as well.
I've asked people the hows and the whys every time I meet someone because it's just so fascinating to me. It doesn't matter how many times I hear about it, it is just so exciting to hear.

For me, it was seeing it on cartoons and of course, being tickled and being utterly enthralled when I saw others getting tickled. I am such a ler, and I terrorized my friends when I was younger.

It just depends. There is no womanly way or manly to get into (introduced to) tickling.

However it happens (safely), it's just amazing to me.

can’t speak for men, but i am a woman who got into tickling through exposure on tv, plus a natural interest in tickling to begin with. most other younger women i know who are also into tickling got into it the same way i did too.

same as usual for me....cartoons...and in junior high, in one class the boys passed around an adult novel (during class, behind teacher's back) marked at the pages where tickle torture was being down on a girl all helped to get me hooked

I got tickled as a kid and actually hated it, but realized I was intrigued with it later in life. I started using it as a more assertive ice breaker with girls, and it just stuck.

That and I wanted to be different from "typical guys" where in the open times they'd all compare the sex knowledge they had about positions and and methods they acquired from sources like parents with porn channels they they'd tune into when nobody was looking. I had a very naive perception of love/sex and tickling seemed like a racy middle ground. So

I never got tickled much at all as a kid, but I saw some people tickled in real life and on TV as a kid, and subconsciously I think that's where my love of tickling came from, I think.

I don't exactly know when I got "into" tickling. But whenever I saw anyone get tickled it always caught my attention even as a kid.

I remember my older sister and me tickling my mum's feet at the end of the bed as kids. My mum was strict, serious, strong-willed, and in control - but when her feet were tickled, she used to lose her composure so quickly and easily. And I think subconsciously it made me see the power tickling had over people.

I think because maybe girls were more likely to get tickled maybe that's why they developed their love/hate/intrigue of tickling from that. But I think there would be a lot of women into tickling who got it through seeing someone else in their life being tickled too.

I can obviously only speak for my own experience, but I have had a "thing" for tickling for as long as I can remember. Idk exactly where I stand on the "nature vs nurture" aspect when it comes to tickling, but I know that I was into it way before puberty. I know that I engaged in tickling activities at a very young age, and I definitely remember tickling in cartoons making me feel a "certain way" when I was very young. I don't know at all how this may relate to the idea of how guys vs girls get into tickling, but that is my personal experience.

As I've said in another thread recently I suspect I've always been into feet, but I was born in 82 so clearly the right age for the TMNT cartoon as well as other media that featured tickling that I was exposed to. Then and I think unfortunately for me, my grandfather was a tickle fetishist who delighted in tickling my grandmother, me and I guess his own kids when they were younger. I actually sort of confronted him about it 3 years before he died because he was the kind of person who delights in pissing other people off and I wasn't sure if that was the tickling thing or not. Either way about the time the light bulb turned on and I'm like hey that's why girls are sexy I also just naturally fell into thinking that tickling a girl's feet while she's tied up is hot. Then I've never really pursued it because in high school I figured I was a freak. Really cool to find this community in 2000, but had my movement disorder get way worse in 2010 and so never really bumped into anyone I was crazy about and now with this debilitating disease doubt I ever will, but that's my story.
