Do you watch tickling videos for what they are?

This is something that I only really thought of today, and I wondered what thoughts others may have on it.

I have noticed that when I watch tickling clips, it is very rare that I watch them for what they are; hot women getting tickled. I watch them and put my own contexts and situations to them, as well as replacing the model in the video for someone I know in real life.

For eg, the concept of other men tickling my partner is something that I find an extreme turn-on. Thus, I like watching M/F or preferably MM/F clips, in which I imagine the situation to be one in which my partner is involved.

Do other people do similar? Or do more people than I imagine watch clips for what they are, paid models being tickled?

I would say I'm about a 50/50 here. It depends on what is happening and with whom but overall, it's a toss up for me.

I watch them for what they are - MM - masturbation material.

I watch them for what they are.

Now, I don't watch "everything"; I have preferences. I don't watch or stay with every tickling video.

And for me, it is not "always" MM...LOL...as it is for Rhiannon...but...that's the general gist of it. I have a sexuality based interest in tickling...so that's what I am usually going for.

But...I don't really visualize myself or people with whom I am in relationships with...in the tickling videos.

To me, they are a kick starter for the imagination. Seeing them and visualizing myself in the scene definitely causes some deeper and more private thoughts.

Besides masturbating, I guess I do often fantasize about some of my female friends in those positions in the vids. But I'm very picky about my clips, I don't watch everything.

Interesting thread...My favorite thing to do with them is watch them/share them when I am in a relationship. It can be so much fun to use them as a foundation to elaborate upon and use in our own way that is personal to us...and during these times I prefer M/F or M/F/F and always "replace" the male tickler with the man I am with...like anyone else, certain vids stand out as more appealing to me...I have always generated towards the stocks and bare feet theme of tickling videos. Watching them together, talking about them, trying out the things that are being done...that is my favorite way to watch them...it's an awesome thing to do in a relationship that can deepen the bond between two people, kind of like "the couple who watches (traditional) porn together...stays together". (Unless I just made that up?) lol. I also sometimes watch out of curiosity. :)

I find them highly erotic & very stimulating of course!

I enjoy F/F the most :)

I think that people can only understand things as they relate to themselves. It's a very selfish thought-process, but that's how I see my mind translate events: comparisons to the self.

That being said, I've also noticed more recently that that's how my mind works while watching a tickling video. I'm not necessarily replacing people mentally but I am writing my own scenario onto the scene and I'm getting off more to the ideas in my head than what's actually happening (although what's actually happening is definitely relevant at minimum as a catalyst).

I don't think it's weird or wrong to do that, because I don't see how you would form empathy towards something with no attachment to it. Your mind kind of makes that attachment for you. I'm tired and going to sleep now lol.

It's probably a function of libido wiring. I personally can't "replace" mentally. I do have the ability to "feed" off clips insofar as I get satisfaction just seeing the woman tickled, and so it doesn't matter that I wasn't the one doing the tickling. Some who view clips are hands-on, in that they have to picture themselves being the tickler. I don't need that, though I do prefer female to male ticklers. Women are more assured and confident, and they don't pause as often as men, and I sense a female-to-female bond, whereas I don't feel it with male ticklers.

Agree with female-to-female bond statement. It's like seeing that games girls play, boys not allowed.

Uh....nope. Might work for you, but not for everybody. I was watching tickling clips already before I had my first session and before I knew I would be turned on by being tickled. Watching alone was more than enough for me, without me having the slightest thing to do with it. In fact, I get turned on by clips and stories that I wouldn't ever, ever, ever want to experience myself.

Yes, definitely. Stories have always had the highest potential for eroticism with me, because what's fascinating or exciting about the situation has always been the dynamics between the people involved, and stories are capable of actually matching that – imagination is the only real limitation in them. Art, secondarily.

People who make photos and videos rarely try to provide that deeper substance, though, so I only really care about them when they're a snapshot of a larger story or scenario. Sometimes they work very well that way, though – certainly more since the quality of that work has improved in recent years.

Excellent. I can finally say 'This' to a whole comment and really mean it.

Haha, thanks Vanilla.

@Rhia -- I can see that, definitely. I wouldn't want to be most of the characters in the things I write. However, I would also argue that comparison doesn't necessitate an identical situation, but rather reveals similarities between two things. Perhaps a better application for understanding would be talking about the human visual range and how we perceive color: I think a lot of people would agree upon certain grass and leaves being green, and then use that to understand the sky as not-green, or something along those lines. Further, I bring up the visual light range because we don't see things in the infrared, so our personal interpretation of the world most definitely wouldn't be an absolute truth. Maybe I'm going way too off topic. I think I am.

Maybe a better discussion point would be to talk about a ticklee's reactions: her foot is being touched, and she's pulling it away from the person touching it, but the ticklee is also laughing. I laugh when I'm having a good time, but I pull away from things when I don't enjoy how it feels, or if it hurts, or something. In that sense I get a kind of mixed feeling about what being tickled is like without having it done to me, and therefore can relate to it without having experienced it. It gets way, way more complex when you add all of the different things that are contained within a typical tickling video, like bondage and ticklers/toys, but I don't think such complex ideas are necessary.

Did that make more sense? I'm not the best at explaining sometimes.

Goodness knows, TK Vids have become so stripped down to a bare formulaic utilitarian essence this past decade... they are a very empty framework to project onto if one wishes. In most cases... they are sparse in the creativity department. And one cannot blame the producers, they want to make what sells... and most viewers (customers) just want to wank and get on with other things. What's it down to now? 10 .... 7 minutes a serving?

Taking a creative leap is always a gamble... it may or may not fly.

Of course there are OVER produced yarns that are just awful and nearly painful to slog through. Sometimes the 'director's epic vision' is just plain hokey and bad. A real buzz-kill.

I don't think we'll be seeing any Oscar winning tickle vids in the near future.

I understand what you mean. It doesn't apply to me at all though, it just isn't that complicated for me. If I see it, and it looks and/or sounds right, it works for me. I guess when it comes to visual stimulation I am just a very shallow person. Maybe I should have become a guy! :xpulcy:
