Hi all,
I never expected a tickling scene in a depressing series Handmaid's Tale, but there actually is a brief one.
In season 3, episode 4, about 3 minutes in, several of the handmaids are being frisked by the 'Aunts' (middle-aged women) before entering a building. One of them is giggling and twisting aside while being frisked, then being scolded to 'stop that nonsense.'
The character is the one-eyed girl; I forget her name. (It's not Elizabeth Moss).
The show also let's us see Elizabeth Moss's bare feet quite a few times over the run.
There's a bastinado scene in season 1, but we only see it briefly. It's also played entirely for drama, misery, and torture.
Tickling content aside, I also think it's a very good--if depressing--show, and very worth watching.
