Hogtying is a little more uncomfortable than, say, being tied spreadeagle, but I wouldn't consider it to be painful. I don't think that'll change your mind, but I wouldn't try and attempt to.

I like nudity during some tickling sessions, just as I like clothes during some tickling sessions. Being naked can give the session a certain level of intimacy, as well as exposing more skin to tickle
As far as videos are concerned, I prefer to see tickling, but as I'm into forced orgasms/orgasm denial as well, I don't mind seeing the vibrators come out once in a while.

A very thought provoking post feline. I would say that the answer really depends on the -ler and -lee, and what they find enjoyable. As a -ler, I am not particularly fond of the hogtie, as it somewhat limits access to many ticklish spots that could be explored. I do know many -lers and -lees though that love it due to the fact that it gives great access to the feet and is very restrictive.

For me nudity isn't a must, as there are times that clothing can actually nicely accentuate a -lees ticklish areas...a sleeveless top that leaves the underarms exposed...jeans with bare feet stickling out...to name just a couple. Once again much has to do with the two people being open and honest about what they enjoy, expect and want from a tickling session. • The 'lee's flexibility (especially in his or her shoulders)
• How close together the hands are tied in back (the closer, the harder)
• How much the knees are bent
• How close the wrists are brought to the ankles

A light hogtie isn't all that bad. A stringent one is not a tie for novices on either side of the ropes.

One caution I always give about hogties: they can be fatal. The person's bodyweight on stomach and chest, with the shoulders drawn back, can prevent the lungs from expanding fully. Being hog-tied is not necessarily painful. If the rope work is done properly so that you still have circulation in all your limbs, and if your flexibility limit is not exceeded, then you can be comfortable in a hog-tie for over an hour. I know this from first hand experience.

It's a difficult position for most people to maintain for very long, though it can be tied in ways that make it easier.

To me, hogtie is also a complete turn-off.

I like nudity though; makes the lee more vulnerable and exposes every spot.
