Hope Coloradan and Virginian TMF'ers are OK

I hope you guys came through the two quakes in Colorado and Virginia/DC all right. At the very least it must have been scary.

I was driving when it happened. All I felt was some mild shakeage which I mistook for mechanical trouble. AFAIK, no major damage here. Some folks here only found out about it from radio or TV.

Likewise, my thoughts are with east coast TMF'ers dealing with an unwelcome visit from Hurricane Irene, who I understand is quite a bitch.

Doing okay ^^ felt a small aftershock about 30 minutes ago actually!

I understand there was an aftershock in Virginia around 01:00. The Washington Monument will be closed because of several large cracks at the top. (There is a video somewhere).

We had a fantastic thunder/lightning show storm here in UNY last night.

Sunny right now.

No real worries here in CO. No deaths or injuries even at or near the epicenter.
I was a couple miles from the epicenter of the Sylmar quake in '71 (6.6).

Now that was some shit.
