"All is quiet, Ross. I know that you're upset about Toronto and OKC, and just where you are" Vic said.
"Vic, do me a favor, set the office answering machine with my voice on it saying that I'm out of town on business for a few days, and to talk to someone else in the office if someone needs something. I just need a breather. This really has not been a good couple of weeks" Ross said.

Ross took a walk along the Strip, and met with Ross's cousin who lived in Vegas for a few hours. The men gambled at Bally, had lunch, and then Ross went back to Ceasers for a massage, steam, and whirlpool.
When Ross got dressed, there was a voicemail from the teacher. "It's your partner, please call me. I'm worried" Kayley said.
Ross called back calmly. "I'm fine, teacher, and hope you are too. Just got finished with the health club, and I had lunch with my cousin" Ross said.
"Has the office left you alone?" Kayley said.
"Harton called me, but I told him I am out of town on business for several days and will call and meet with him when I get home. He cant say anything about that. Harton does not know where I am because I did not tell him. He knows that I have business contacts in other cities" Ross said.
"You sound calmer. Did something happen?" Kayley asked.
"John said he might have found a way around the problem in Canada. Juhn told me that he will work on it and he and I will talk when I get home. The oil guys know I need a break. Fritz could see how I was not feeling well, and that the OKC trip made it worse" Ross said.
"Ross, try to put the OKC and Toronto things out of your mind. Just enjoy your break, and I will see you in three days" Kayley said.
"You definitely will" Ross said, blowing Kayley a kiss through the phone.
Ross went to a seafood and steak dinner, and then back into the casino.
He was even for the trip so far, but that night, suffered a nice, big thud,. to the tune of ten grand!
The money was not the thing, it was the principle.
Ross decided to cut his trip short one day, and go home on the Red Eye the next night, and would be in JFK at 6 am the following morning, but Ross did not plan to tell Kayley that until the following day.
The next day, more unwelcome news. A nasty text from someone in Charles Harton's company. Down, down, down with the gambling.
Ross got on the plane to New York late that night down fifty grand! If not the most he had ever lost in LV, very close.
Ross flew home in anger. It was not "The money, it was the symbolic nature"
Ross landed in New York at 6 am Friday morning. Kayley was home due to a school holiday.
Ross almost boomed into the apartment in a horrible mood.
