I've been listening to the Metallica sold out/sucks argument since ride the lightning (or ride the lightbulb) depending on which detractor youre listning to,came out in early 85. They are an outstanding band regaurdless of YOUR opinion of thier music. Like u2 the stones the Dead and slayer they have stayed true to thier roots while progressing as musicians and songwriters and just plain growing up. Haters......

Is "fight fire with fire" or "battery" corperate/conformist? Maybe it is now...thanks to THEM but was it in 86-87 or was that phil collins? Think about it...the coperations conformed to THEM! They are the ESSENCE of aor now along with puddle of mud, korn and a whole bnch of namelesss/faceless garbage. Innovators NOT immitaters...get the point? Theyve EARNED the right to sell out to whoever te fuck they want to! Whats WRONG with YOU? Get the point?
