It doesn't matter how famous. Just some renoun.
I don't know if someone did a thread like this. But it seemed fun.
For me it is Kyle Hebert. The voice of Gohan and the Narrator for Dragonball Z.

For me, a celebrity I've "met" would involve at least some conversation as opposed to someone I saw passing by in an airport and yelled "hi" to without acknowledgement.

My list is pretty modest - mostly D level or lower, pushing the definition of 'celebrity' - singer Rupert Holmes ("The Pina Colada Song", actual title "Escape'), big league pitcher Chad Gaudin, former front of the box porn star Gina Carrera, and one real celebrity - Harvey Keitel - sat in front of him at a football game and had some banter.

i don't have a super famous list, but:

- Justine Ezarik (iJustine)
- Dane Boedigheimer (Daneboe)
- Chet Garner (The Daytripper host)

I was 12 or 13 when i was a fan of the first two and i don't watch daytripper anymore.

I also had the chance to meet Damon Albarn but wasn't aware i could have met him until i talked with a fan who met him after a show we were both at. Would have had to wait a while, but it would have been worth it at the time.

David Byrne. Patti Smith. Debbie Harry. Matt Dillon. Rick Derringer. Hmmmmm. Jayne County. Wesley Snipes. There's been alot! The guys from Ween. Grant Hart from Husker Du. J. Mascis. I didn't meet him, but been around Dan Ackroyd. Same thing with The Grateful Dead (Garcia wasn't there, but the rest of the band was).......Harry Nilsson.....dang, there's more than I would have thought! The rock critic Griel Marcus. Danny Fields, who was signed The Doors, the Mc5, Iggy Pop and The Ramones. Oh yeah, Joey Ramone. Andy from The Dictators. Robyn Hitchcock. Oh, Parker Posey. Chuck D from Public Enemy. I used to be friends with one of the Cosby Show cast (won't say which) (no, it's not Bill!!!!)

one real celebrity - Harvey Keitel - sat in front of him at a football game and had some banter.

What was THAT like??!! What was HE like? Awesome!

R Kelly, the dude that played Stanley on The Office, Jesse Jackson Jr, Rod Blagojevich, Stedman and I think that's it.

Have seen plenty walking around but didn't want to bother them.

I used to work room service at the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square in my 20s and a ton of celebrities stayed there.

It was so long ago I'm having trouble remembering, but off the top of my head I brought food for Dan Akroyd (who was the friendliest and nicest,) Eddie Vedder, Axl Rose, Michael Crichton, John Lithgow, Bob Hoskins, Johnny Depp (Winona Ryder was in the shower when I dropped off their dinner,) the band Rancid, Steve Miller, and Tommy Lee Jones (who was a complete drunk and had a fight with his wife, and he threw her out into the hallway naked. I think he ended up being thrown out of the hotel eventually.)

There were probably others who just aren't coming to me right now.

Sandy Koufax -- five minute conversation in Vero Beach, Florida, in 1989. (Hall of Fame pitcher; MVP of World Series 1963 and again in 1965.)
Claude Osteen -- fifteen minute conversation in Vero Beach, Florida, in 1990. (Won one game in 1965 World Series.)

Michael Dukakis -- two minute conversation on Boston subway in 2003. (Former governor of Massachusetts; unsuccessful candidate for POTUS in 1988.)

I've met with many French politicians, but the one I think stood out the most was Nicolas Sarkozy. A very unique person: strong, determined, smart, cunning, ambitious, energetic... but also strangely off as far as politicians go. Not very ideological, surprisingly emotional, he has a deep desire to be loved and understood, while at the same time striving to be a non-conformist and a rule breaker. Strangely for such a powerful man, he craves recognition and gives a feeling that he doesn't quite fit in wherever he goes. He has a big complex of inferiority towards his own lack of education (he hasn't read much) and tries to hide his humane side as well as his blatant lack of ruthlessness behind a façade of bombastic bravado.

I've also had the misfortune of meeting the most unpleasant man in France, conspiracy theorist and ardent antisemite Alain Soral, whose vacuity, hatefulness and total disregard for such things as common sense, reason and sense of humor made for the worst evening I've ever had.

Polar opposite of him, I have met Pr Timothy Snyder of Yale during a summit, and he proved to be exactly as I had imagined him: a most knowledgeable man with whom I could have talked with for weeks. He was my role model, back when I was a student, so meeting him meant a lot to me.

I've also run into the great Peter Stormare at an airport, and we exchanged a few jokes before he kindly signed me an autograph. And I've met with Epica after a concert in Bordeaux; we hung out with Mark Jansen after the show and it turned out he was a very decent fellow.

, and Tommy Lee Jones (who was a complete drunk and had a fight with his wife, and he threw her out into the hallway naked. I think he ended up being thrown out of the hotel eventually.)

My god he sounds as intense as his characters in movies :scream:

the dude that played Stanley on The Office

Lol I LOVE Stanley. It must be funny to see him out of character, actually caring about stuff :p

I've run into Willy Nelson at an airport, met B.B. King at a restaurant with mah GF, and got into an elevator with my Mom with all of the band "The Monkeys" when I was a kid. ;) :D

Hmm,

All of the Backstreet Boys...don’t judge lol.
I waited on Zach Galifianakis when I worked at Whole Foods...I dropped his peach because starstruck lol.
I was an extra in a movie with Danny Trejo and Adrian Paul, I got to eat pizza with them lol.
Aaron Weiss
Quite a number more I’ve interacted with or seen from a distance.

No huge celebrities, but I've met Chef Robert Irvine and Paul Robinson (former NFL running back).

I met Felicia Day today at 'Galaxycon', she's fucking rad as shit. I knew who she was but wasn't really a big fan or anything and was just wandering around when I saw her at her booth and figured I'd get an autograph anyway, just to have something from the show. Chill as fuck. Shook her hand, had her sign the pic with some weird shit I asked, and then fistbumped me as I was done. Couldn't have been cooler. Am a legitimate fan now.

I love Felicia Day, I'm glad she turned out to be cool in person.

Here's a quick little tickle she got while filming co-optitude with her brother http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?282256-Very-quick-Felicia-Day-tickle

Probably the most famous was Muhammed Ali at a bar stumping for a political candidate, talked and joked around for a few minutes, very cool. Met lots of sport celebs as I worked in local media for quite a while, did some interviews, guys like Reggie Jackson, Yogi Berra, lots of Cleveland and Pittsburgh players, baseball and football. Took some trips to NYC in college and met some celebs in studios and on the streets, some nice some aloof, you'll have that, so many to try and remember. Viggo Mortenson when he was filming The Road here briefly. Went to grade school with Sharon Stone, does that count? I'm sure she wouldn't remember it LOL. Been a fun time, like I said, some better than others.

One of my NYC trips I met Al Franken when he was still teamed with Tom Davis in a Japanese restaurant. I was with a girl I dated briefly and told her who they were, Al overheard and said hi and asked what we were eating, had a short conversation and went on eating. They were with some young lady, didn't recognize her, but they were talking SNL stuff and mentioned Dan Ackroyd.

This thread is going over just as well as I'd hoped. A chance to learn some interesting things about other members.
I should add I did briefly meet Kevin Costner while visiting my brother who was working security.

Back in the 80's I met a lot of then current and former NFL players, the most notable being HOF member Earl Campbell. Ran into him several times. He was a nice guy, always took time to talk to his fans.

I ran across but didn't meet Gemini 7 and Apollo 8 astronaut Frank Borman. Would have loved to shake his hand and get an autograph but he was with his family and I didn't want to intrude.

I do not, but I'm definitely going to check it out :) I googled their names and thats the movie they were both in.

Enjoy it! It’s horrible lol! I’m still great friends with the director and his wife who wrote the screenplay. She even came to my baby shower.

I honestly could never find myself in it. I’m in the grungey club scene somewhere. It was a pretty cool experience. My childhood community theatre director is John Rushton, who’s one of the agents in it. It was a pretty big deal for our little town to have it happen.

I met Archie Manning when I was a kid. I think he was still quarterback for the New Orleans Saints at the time.

Also met Jason David Frank, aka Tommy, the original Green Mighty Morphin Power Ranger (also played Bloodsdhot in a Netflix series with same title, I believe) at the Colorado Springs Comic Con last year....Real nice guy(he really appreciates his fans) but sure wouldn't want to start any sh** with him after watching his MMA fights. Lol!

Edit: Well, since I attended Colorado Springs Comic Con last year and this year, I now have a longer list.

This year, I met other Power Rangers actors such as: Austin St John(Jason, original Red Ranger), David Yost (Billy, original Blue Ranger), Blake Foster (Justin, Blue Turbo Ranger, ) Steve Cardenas (Rocky, 2nd Red MMPR, Blue Zeo Ranger), Jason Faunt (Wes, Red Time Force Ranger).

I also met Kristanna Loken, the TX model Terminator from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

All real nice people.
