I'm sitting here in my apartment watching the US Open golf tournament. As is sometimes the case, the weather here in the Midwest can be a little volatile. Such is the case now.
On the top of the screen is a chyron (new term to me) announcing a thunderstorm warning and the various counties affected. It also states the storm features high winds and may include damaging hail to cars, trees and roofs.
The ingenious thing is at the right of the chyron is an advertisement for a roofing company with a phone number that spells out NEW ROOF. I have a feeling the company paid for the plug.
