Sleeping girls/candid foot clips

Over the years,as I'm sure many of you have - I've seen a couple of home made clips involving sleeping/passed out girls tickled. Also popular are candid feet clips. Of girls in the street, on buses,trains etc who just happen to be wearing a pair of revealing shoes.
Up until now I haven't really given either much thought. But today I wondered how I'd feel to see a clip of myself - on the internet as somebodys wank material?
So the whole point of this post is just to gather public opinon. I'm sure its been discussed in the past and if I searched long enough I'd have my questions answered.
But what do people think on this matter? Then onto the legal side of things, What kind of punishment would a person be looking at if taking part in such an activity. I don't want to use the word crime, but surely it is?

If nothing else, I think it's rude when people take pictures of others without at least asking for their consent first. Not to mention it feels wrong to me.. After all, how would YOU like if it someone you didn't know and likely wouldn't ever see again started snapping pictures of you while you slept? Better yet, how would YOU like it if you went online and somehow came across a picture that you knew was you, and that you knew was being used for some jerk somewhere for his personal pleasure?

Not very good, huh?

I happen to be a very private person... and even (especially) when I go to, say, conventions where people are dressed up in various bizarre (and awesome) outfits, I don't just snap pictures. I ask first. And then I rarely upload these pictures online. I believe it's common courtesy for you to ask if you can do that too, no?

It's one thing if your girlfriend/boyfriend knows you're taking pictures of him/her feet and showing off how pretty she/he is. It's another if you start taking pictures with your mobile phone of that "hot girl from Government class" or "that guy with amazingly rock hard abs" that you've never even spoken to.
