So an Ad for tickling Production co at Bus Stop!

About 2 weeks ago I was walking by LaGuardia Community College and noticed a sign on the bus Kiosk or shelter with the word ticklish. At first I thought I was seeing things and had to turn around and make sure I was seeing correctly. Well sure enough it was an ad with the headlines "Are You Ticklish". It went on to say they were looking for ticklish people and they paid 100 dollars to star in a video. At the buttom of the page there were several slivers of paper that you rip off with the phone number to call if one was intrested. I found it most intresting that they had this at a bus stop in public at a community college full of young ladies and to tell the truth several slivers were torn off already. So Im sure many had at least a passing intrest in this. The name of the company was LAM Productions and Im told they have advertised on this site quite a while ago. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone else has seen anything similar in public? Does this mean that tickling is going more mainstream?

Thanks, But thats not really my bass. Its something I found on the internet. I was just looking for a picture of a cool looking fretless.. Though I do play a fretless mine is a solid body sunburst.

As a student, I'm not at all surprised that this works. In fact, I had kind of assumed that this was one of the ways that video producers got models. It's my experience that students (myself included) will do almost anything in exchange for money, free food, or free stuff.

And off topic again, that bass is gnarly man. Where'd you find that pic? Is that a bass for sale somewhere?

What kind of reactions DO you guys get when you advertise like this?

I used to put up ads on the campus where I studied myself. At times I had up to about a hundred ads on various boards. It's a 35,000-student campus. You'd think that with that many people I'd get all the models I could possibly need, and more. Well, while some of my older models are indeed people who answered my campus ads, my success rate was ridiculously low. I did get a fair number of calls, but most didn't follow through (even when they claimed to be very interested) or eventually dropped out of the project before we could do a shoot (usually at the last minute, or didn't even bother letting me know). I think that students are indeed willing to do a lot of odd things for money, but they're also a bit paranoid sometimes. Ok, maybe paranoid is a strong word, but they're certainly very cautious when it's something they're not familiar with, which is understandable.

What's frustrating is that many would be just fine with or even thrilled at the idea of posing nude, say for an artistic photo shoot, but are unwilling to do something that doesn't involve any nudity or even skimpy outfits just because it's so unusual. Then again, nude photography doesn't always result in material sold to a fetish clientele, so it does make sense to some extent. On the other hand, I get the feeling that even erotic nude meant for sale would still be more acceptable for some people. Unusual stuff just freaks them out, even when it's a lot milder than standard adult material.

Anyway, I did the campus thing for 2-3 years before I got tired of it. I had more success with other forms of advertisement anyway. But that doesn't necessarily mean college campuses don't have potential for model advertisement. I think one of my problems was the city I lived in (Quebec City). It's a fairly large city, but somehow the people's mentality is that of a big village. I'm sure if I tried here in Montreal, I'd have more success, and not just because Montreal had a lot more people. But I don't really care to go through all that again. It's just too frustrating a process.

Haha, that was my next suggestion. Nothing better than Ninja Stealth Advertising!

Then again, a guy in a black hoodie running around posting ads on a university campus...make sure you can outrun the rent-a-cops.

And to TheLastLaugh...Yeah, I could definately see this form of advertising not being very effective in Quebec city, or even Quebec in general. In a non-french Canadian province like Ontario (no disrespect to the French-Canadians), or in the States where people are tied as close by family and community, it'd probably go over alot better.

And in terms of the nudity for photography or whathaveyou, I think it's what the material is going to be used for that makes people more/less willing to partake in it. Indeed. The special context of an adult commercial video production project has a lot do with the willingness of people to participate or not, regardless of the actual content. It does make sense for most models to be more comfortable with posing nude for a photographer's portfolio than with posing fully clothed for videos that are meant for an adult audience. Still, it is my understanding that there are still some models who would be more willing to do regular "porn" than pose for much tamer, fully clothed tickling videos, simply because they're not familiar with the concept. They just don't know what to expect. It's possible that they think that there must be a catch, that it can't be that simple. I don't know, it seems to me that the fact that the videos are sold as fetish material, which is made perfectly clear right from the start, is enough of a "catch" by itself. I'm not sure why some people think there must be something more to it. Oh well.

No its just somthing I found on aol. Aol has a search engine for finding sites and also a search engine for images. I typed in the word fretless bass and looked at all the images until I found one that I really liked!!
