I love Curb your enthusiasm, mainly because Larry David is always saying what everyone is thinking, but doesn't have the nerve to say(although it always gets him in trouble).
So I thought I'd start a thread about society's "unwritten rules", dealing w/minor annoyances created by other people

For example the person who doesn't completely finish a carton of milk, leaving just a tiny bit at the bottom. Or the guy who drives 55 MPH in the fast lane on the highway/freeway/beltway.

I came across such an annoyance at the gym today. A dude was on a particular piece of equipment I wanted to use, but he just sitting there, not working out. I came up and asked if he was finished, and he said "one more set", then proceeded to text someone on his phone(I'm assuming he was texting, he could've been surfing the web or downloading porn for all I know).
The point is he was doing this while occupying a piece of equipment I wanted to use. He didn't take that long, but I still thought it was rude. And why do you even have your phone with you during a workout? I always leave mine in my locker, or my car.

So does anyone else get ticked off by rude or inconsiderate people? I'm specifically talking about minor annoying habits that drive you nuts

I am always extremely annoyed (but I keep my mouth shut) when I am in an elevator going down that stops at the second floor and somebody is who is young and apparently healthy boards to ride down one flight. :Grrr:

Yeah that's a good one, although to be honest I've been guilty of doing that myself a couple times. I really should take the stairs if it's just one floor, but I guess I'm lazy.

Here's another one; The "no offense, but.." In other words someone says "no offense but" and then they proceed to offend you. For example "No offense but, you're a fat disgusting slob who smells like month old tuna fish". Why even bother saying no offense, when you know you're going to offend the other person?

I know what you mean, MagicFingers. We have a legal system that checks more serious offenses, but nobody to really enforce common courtesy. However the idea of such an enforcer has been put out there.

Back in the 80s, there used to be this comic book called "The Badger" written by Mike Baron. He was a costumed hero of sorts. An emotionally scarred Vietnam veteran named Norbert Sykes with mad martial arts skills. The Badger would kick the snot out of people who parked in the handicap space without a sticker, or the person who goes through the express lane at the grocery store with thirty items.

Then we have Terry Tate, Office Linebacker...

My husband and I recently began watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. I know, we're several years behind on that trend lol

I have a few of my own pet peeves. I get really annoyed when people have loud cell phone conversations in public...we don't need to know you business!

when people dont look where their going on the road i always say the day im in a car accident because of som1s stupidity they better cripple me

but i blast music really loud and i tend to sneak away during social gatherings which pisses som of my friends off i hate crowds after awhile i need alone time
