In Tabor County, sisters Mercy and Persephone Mew commence a harrowing sheriff's mission... while upon Pandataria, an ominous island personage makes herself known.

Not a lot in the way of fetish content this time. A more hearty helping will be coming in the next chapter.

This was a good wait. Again liked the scenery images. You have a pretty good knack at that. Nice mood setting as well with the old sea shanty. Loved the last page with Mercy looking forward to finally working with her sister. Thats nice. Boss Guillmon is a lot more sinister and menacing then he already looks. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Thank you, MisterAE! This chapter sets up more than it pays off, but I'm glad you still found plenty to enjoy! Very pleased you liked the inclusion of the old sea song. My dad was into folk music when I was a kid; he used to play the records over and over again, and I developed an affection for this version, performed by the Brothers Four( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZ12iqDZA7k ). That would have been in the early '60s... you never know when these snippets of nostalgic trivia will come in useful!

Just out of curiosity, any particular reason why you chose the real island of Pandateria? Something to do with Julia's exile there as an accused sex fiend? Or just because you liked the name?

Thanks for the question, Owen! You've hit on it, I really like the sound of the name. I first encountered it when I was reading "I, Claudius" (or perhaps while watching the BBC dramatization. I can't remember now if it was ever mentioned there) and was captivated by the whimsical imagery it evoked for me. That Augustus and other Caesars used it as a place of exile certainly plays into the way I'm using the island, something that will become clearer when I start delving into its fictitious back-story. It isn't meant to be that actual historical island, however. Functionally, the place is a bit more like Capri, the debauched stronghold where Emperor Tiberius holed himself up. But I prefer the name Pandataria. Something about it really clicks for me.

It is mentioned in the dramatization... I believe when Tiberius sends Agrippina there and mocks her about her mother's exile.

Low_Roads, been following it! What a very nice set-up of what's more to come in Pandataria -- quite a little world and landscape you have created, where the subplots are flowing naturally in such a unique setting. Elaborating the details of the Tabor in contrast with the island of Pandataria is important in delivering your characters in the story-telling. And of course, the casual appearance of the uncrowned "empress" is much anticipated here. She's beginning to show strong impression since the last chapter. Looking forward to it. I'm sure it would be a blast to see her into action!

Your own avatar character has had little to do so far other than address crowds, but in Chapter 36 we'll get to see her assume a bit more of her hands-on function. Lady Destiny doesn't deign to oversee day-to-day training and conditioning... such responsibilities are left to the tender care of the Bohemianne! She is, after all, well versed in the subtle agonies of The Abyss!
