In my experience, it's more an issue of consent. Models occasionally say "this would be so much worse with a blindfold", and then when I offer to give them one, they chicken out and decline. Also, given the choice of having their faces pixelated/blurred or wearing a mask, they almost always choose pixelization.
For whatever reason, models - especially first-timers working with a new producer they probably don't fully trust yet - simply don't want their faces covered or their vision obscured in any way.
The only model in my catalog who actually consented to a blindfold was Jennifer in "What a Girl Wants".
