TICKLING IN SPACE
Inosaka's Paradox

What's THIS???

The sexy crew of the Danneskold is in serious trouble.

Whispers that a phantom ship has taken the gorgeous space pirates prisoner.

Rumors spoken in terrified tones speak of the glass prisons, the mechanical
monsters that never sleep, and hysterical screams of endless laughter.

And those that dare utter her name, shudder at the thought of the brass
goddess, and of the things she does to her helpless victims.

Now time is running out for our hot alien heroines as they fall prey to the
terrible plans of the evil Thompson corporation and their deadly circle of
tickling torments.

Join Captain Dusty, Mistress Koki, Slither, Jessi * the Robotech, Audrey,
and the whole TIS crew on their most dangerous, death-defying,
and desperately ticklish adventure ever.

Will these ticklish alien beauties be able to withstand the fiendish trials
they must face??? Is there any hope of rescue??? Will they be able to
survive the hilarious horrors that await them at the hands of the Boss
Inosaka???

Find out in this tremendously tickly tantalizing titillating episode of
Tickling in SPACE: Inosaka's Paradox!

I actually don't know what to say...well, I do, just not in what order.

First off, you two are pretty much my closest friends within the art community and really great guys to begin with. So, anything you do is great to see.

But this?

Holy shit, dudes.

Ok...when Melanie and I started the cool word game in Silly Stuff, it all started with an interesting word called Syzygy. One of my favorites, as it has so many uses. In this case, it's one of the few times I can use it for its full meaning. It's when two people's personalities come together, create a unique new personality without losing the individual personalities that make it up. Got it? Good. 'Cuz that's what happened here.

Bandito, you've always been my favorite line artist and Scav...what you do with coloring and page layouts is unmatched in the community. To bring the two of them together, AND add in the often (and sadly) overlooked writing skills of the Deet...you've got something that you can't even begin to describe and do justice to.

Reading this was like watching a big-budget, effects-laden movie unfold on the cyber-page. And I don't mean just looking at it, either. Even though you two are vastly different artists, there's one thing you share that I love about you both. That ability to allow a reader or viewer to completely suspend disbelief and just fall into a story. Never is that more apparent than here.

There's just to much to go into every detail, and I don't want to ruin it for anyone. But, all the little "inside" stuff was a stroke of genius. This pops off the page...no, fuck that....it explodes off the page, taking the reader with it.

Even though we're in the midst of the voting for the 2008 GFA's, I already have my first pick for '09's. It really is that good, people. For the love of all that's good and holy in the world of tickling fetish art...please do yourself a favor and get this one. This is easily Top 5 in the history of tickling publications. And the other 4? All having something to do with one of these two legendary creators.

Get it. Now. Stop reading. Just do it. Now. :triangle:

Just received my copy of this comix, and I'm off my socks! Even though I'm not really the biggest fan of the mech-robo-tickling art of scavenger (sorry, just a matter of personal taste), this masterpiece really got to me! The plot, the depiction, the realization is pure genius! It's a MUST for every collector of tickle art, and definitely a keeper! :cool2:

Dave: As I said in the art section; thank you so much for the support and kind comments! :)

Haltickling: Oh that's allright... :) I know my dark machine-tickling art is a bit of a niche on it's own. There's people who absolutely love that kind of thing, and people who don't, that's just the way it is... But I'm very happy that Bandito and I were able to create something with "Inosaka's Paradox" that can appeal to most people. And frankly, I've come to enjoy the lighter, more sensual side of tickling. If you enjoyed this one, I've got a feeling you might enjoy the next one even more... But I'm not telling anything about it... you'll just have to wait... ;)

Dave: Thanks so much my good friend. I really appreciate it. I won't repeat what I wrote in other threads, but thanks greatly.

Haltickling: Thank you so much my friend. So very very glad that the comic was a success for you. I really appreciate the feedback, and the support. Scav and I are going to see what we can come up with to knock your socks off, blow them up, and knit you some new ones.

^^;;;;;;;

Thanks again to everyone,

The Deeto

I only last week was able to peruse the wonders of this fabulous, groundbreaking work, and hope no one minds if I add my voice to the chorus already in place! Better late than not at all...

The first thing that impresses about "Inosaka's Paradox" is its sheer volume! Comic, text story, production sketches... each a generous helping and well designed to dovetail with its fellows; taken altogether, an overwhelming package that's nearly too weighty to absorb in a single sitting!

Structured as a Dante-esque sight-seeing tour (Justine's sensual adventures, too, would have sufficed as analogy... Captain Dusty is equally observant of excruciating details, but exercises a more subversive spirit) in which the principal becomes fully involved once she reaches Satan, the distinctively devious "circles" of provocation react to the Danneskold crew's peculiarities in the same way that Hell's sinners are treated to punishments complimentary of their crimes. Dusty passes through this spectacle not dispassionately but uninvolved, chaperoned by a pair of oily Virgils whose predatory interest would never have earned them pain-free stays in Limbo! These compartmentalized rounds of teasing abuse are effectively varied, exploiting the specific personality quirks of a broad range of TIS characters (happy to see hapless Jessi receive some special attention!) against fiendishly conceived torments (Koki's "nuzzle worm" companions are fiercely inventive torturers!) which serve as building foreplay to the eventual introduction of Inosaka herself... an insular figure welded in place, much the same way as Dante's Satan is frozen into his cavernous landscape. The situations offer one primary, important differnce: where Satan is defeated and broodingly introspective, a used-up wreckage, Inosaka's cloistering is self-imposed and her artificial personality not fully formed. Her demeanor is that of a testing, questing child... it's not so surprising that iron-willed Dusty should have such a far-reaching effect on her!

The talents of artist and author are blended into a perfect single voice, far more thoroughly than the stated division of labor would suggest. The raw whimsy and fun of Bandito character design, plus a preference for semi-encumbered tickle-victims, seem to have been impressed on Scavenger style... figures kick, thrash and mingle is a way more Deeto-ly than Scav-ish. Likewise, one marvels as the operatic grandeur of "Vicky's Defeat" appears to have invaded the TIS cosmos... the Danneskold may be a party ship yet, but dire consequence lurks right outside its rowdy comfort. This lends the story an aura both familiar and entirely distinctive; we venture with old friends into unfamiliar territory.

In terms of dynamic visual impact, the artwork is an easy equal for the wonders seen in "Vicky's Defeat"; driving spacecraft are captured in the midst of headlong plummet, starfields streak in giddy hyperdrive mode as hunks of astral debris hurtle perilously near! Vehicle layout continues to impress with its masterly synthesis of attitude and functionality. The Danneskold (profitably easy to examine on page 31 of test designs) maintains a friendly, rounded aspect (circles and curves dominate), topped with a Dusty-specific take on the piratical death's-head banner! The Thompson Co. chase ship is a much more antagonistic design, bristling with sharp angles and protuberances... its hard to believe anyone would ever feel comfortable riding in one of those things! Within the Circle of Chambers, archetypical Scavenger mechanics, leather and latex themes abound. Characters distinguish themselves from environment by means of cunningly divergent (generally secondary) color schemes: lavender Dusty fumes, as florescent green tranquil-juice is pumped into her tender neck arteries; an emerald Slither sweats in the midst of blazing, punishing robotics; the Brass Goddess Inosaka gleams with hot metallic luster, her very utterances a bloody blade of contrasting scarlet! Lush, dense texture has become a Scavenger hallmark, and I can't remember it ever being better displayed!

Narrowing narrative focus to triple-scoop Captain Dusty (experiencing all subsequent characters through her) grants the storytelling a driving unity that really raises the stakes in the world of TIS! The loosy-goosy comedic tone of the original series benefited from its episodic, blackout structure; savvy Deeto scripting insures that this more portentous approach to the same universe entertains with touches of both light and darkness, primarily by using humor to punctuate rather than dominate. Goofy tech Jessi can't quite bring herself to take her ordeal seriously, needing to be cajoled into cooperating with her torturer (one gets the impression she isn't having all that bad a time!); Dusty's twin escorts purr incessantly over the quality of the "product", cartoon simulacrums of cold-blooded corporate functionaries; genuine corporate product Thompson struts to the rescue with the air of a wayward child blithely returning to her parents' place for a snack (the irony that Dusty finds a measure of her liberation via the organization that took her prisoner is hard to ignore!) Bittersweet moments in the resolution may promise hope for profits on one side and widespread reform on the other... even so, I suspect the TIS universe vast enough that the Danneskold crew won't ever have to fear the threat of boring domesticity!

All told, an epic, winning effort that all the Community should gratefully recognize as a landmark! Equal to anything I ever enjoyed in the classic Heavy Metal magazine... the tickle world must surely count its blessings that this sort of matchless quality is narrow-focussed for its needs by two of the most exciting, proficient tickle-talents working today!
