I wouldn't say its an obsession otherwise I wouldn't have any thing to do in my life. I wouldn't call it a fetish either, it's just who I am. I like tickling and the more times I do it the better. Just like with everything else I like.

'Obsession' means 'a persistent disturbing preoccupation with an often unreasonable idea or feeling'. Since my preoccupation does not disturb me and is not unreasonable, it must not be an obsession, even though it takes control of me about 18 hours a day.

Or to put it in terms of the old cliché, 'I don't suffer from a tickling obsession. I enjoy every minute of it!'

To me, it's a fetish. An obsession is something that starts to exhibit a negative influence on your life (yes, I understand the criteria for that is somewhat subjective).

definitly a fetish....but can be quite consuming at times....for me, an interest that I've had since early childhood.....definitly intrinsic to my sexuality now.....but also very deep part of who I am.....Its almost like I interpret tickling differently...its more affectionate and bonding.....and makes me feel very vulnerable when I tickle with someone....so I'm selective......

I think of it more as an obsession, since "fetish" seems to limit the interest to a sexual one.

A fetish for me, simply because obsession sounds like it dominates your whole life. Which for me, who works approx 60 hours a week, wouldn't be the case.
It is a strong fetish though...... how do I know? Well I'm here arn't I
