Tickling....something to be ashamed of?

As much as i hate to say this, people with a tickling fetish are somewhat in the minority. For some reason, the idea of having sex over and over again seems more socially acceptable than tickling...which nearly always does not lead to sexual intercourse (ok, so there are some exceptions).

Well, 4 years ago when i was 12, i played a quick tickling game with a girl i knew. We were playing a computer game, and i came up with a stupid wager that the loser should be tickled. Suffice to say, i won the first couple of rounds, then i deliberatly lost. She might as well have been the worst tickler in existance because i felt practically nothing. The following year, she applied at the school that i was at, and about 4 months in, she let it slip, humiliating me infront of everyone. I was teased constantly about it for about 6 months. Thankfully, the seniors seem to have forgotten about it, and i tend to avoid the juniors incase they shout it out again (they're little 11 year old brats, who couldn't care less about other peoples feelings).

Hence, i am slightly embaressed about my fetish, and although i took some comfort a year ago when i found out i wasn't the only one with a tickling fetish, i still feel different to everyone else.

Tickling, as an interest of any sort, is indeed uncommon. The percentage of people who find it amusing is small, still, though it's currently better than it used to be.

This was actually being covered in another thread. The simply truth of it is that, as a deviancy (something outside of the norm), it's going to get much poorer response before college for many.

As an adult, treating a lover with respect and consideration, it's oft a thing that can be done consentually in exchange for a return gratification of your partner. Said partner may want a backrub, a specific sexual favor that YOU find odd (and there are SO many from which to choose), or anything else. As adults, we get to choose our own path in the privacy of our bedrooms.

Bottom line, little brother, is that you're findin' what we all did, back in the day - some folks scorn things that are different. This is viewed as prejudice by most. It sucks. We've got your back, here, homes, so just keep your head up and be patient. There ARE women that are cool about such, providin' you take care of their need the way they do yours.

ticklishboy, dinosaurs roamed the earth when I was your age. Then as now, most people considered tickling either kid stuff or weird. I remember being told to "act your age" or "grow up" when I indulged my kink. Back then, tickling media was practically nonexistent, appeared only rarely in BDSM magazines along with the chains and leather goods. Being interested in those magazines made you a "pervert" in the eyes of mainstream folks - horny teenagers were expected to look at straight-up porno. It created mental baggage for the socially awkward geek I was then, and that added to feelings of isolation (who would I dare to tell?) in those pre-internet times.

Ashamed of tickling? Trust me, there are much scarier things out there! I've started to talk to some of my friends about this whole thing, and luckily they've been very understanding. As long as I can control it when I'm around them, they don't mind. Of course, if I get the overwhelming desire one day...I think I'll go and lie down now.

Well... Don't feel so weird about it. Some prefer to tickle, others prefer pee on their faces. It takes all types, and you just happened to like tickling. As for your peers, well that's another story entirely. It's never wise to buck up against King Mob. Sure, they may tell you that they understand, and maybe some of them actually do. Others will look at you as if you had just raped their cat. Still others will conduct a whispering gossip train on the subject. Goals

A point worth adding to Myriads' post is that the TMF is so damn poular now that it just shows how many people are into tickling. Therefore, we are not alone.
