I had a long day at work and a bad experience with Xfinity so I feel like I gotta rant.

I was around before the Internet and before the video companies. Yeah we heard it all, blah blah.

Not to seem ungrateful that there is so much available now, but I've had it up to here with videos showing stocks and devices and unnatural situations. It just seems so .... well ... clinical. How many of us are in a situation where we encounter that? Most of us encounter tickling through casual relationships and sudden encounters. That's what I want to see in a video. I want to see a couple of people pin down a girl, straddle her and tickle the crap out of her. I want to see a couple on a couch, a bed, or a party, where the 'Ler gets the upper hand and either pins or quickly ties the 'Lee down.

For me it's always been about the tickling first and foremost. The whole bondage thing happened as a means to an end. I'm not into ritualistic BDSM and all the toys that go with it. What always turned me on about tickling was the girl next door, not a professional model trying her best to act like Katniss Everdeen.

I went for all the fantasy scenarios at first. I liked the idea of stocks at the very beginning. Now, it's just become another movie trope.

What turns me off is when the model is pretending it tickles or the reaction is fake. Its very easy to tell. You don't have to be that smart to figure out which laughter and reactions are fake and which are genuine. I don't know why, but seeing these fake "acting" tickling situations is a huge turn off for me. I agree with what you're saying as well. More realistic, natural situations. But for me, in order for that to work, the person has to be more than a pretty face. They actually HAVE to be ticklish. If they're not that ticklish and they're told/encouraged to fake laughter and a ticklish reaction, even the scenarios you are suggesting would not be worth it. I've often requested that videos be more sensual and erotic; no matter how teasing or intense the tickling is - always keep that - every now and then have the two (or more?) participants, kiss, touch, look at each other, or focus on one another's reactions. Like what could happen in the more idealized aspects of real life.

I rarely buy videos anymore simply because I, too, come from the time you could actually get porn on Betamax, but when I do buy those are most often the ones I get.

And for the "if you don't like it make your own" crowd, here are people with money to spend, willing to spend it, saying what they'd like to see. Market research, right there in front of you, with $$ attached to the result.

I'm not paying any more for the "feathers, then fingers, then oil, then more fingers, then brushes, then toothbrushes" constant pattern of so many videos these days. Maybe that's what sells - but I've seen it, so I won't be spending for it.

Unfortunately, something is only new for a short time and then it's old. Being old enough to remember tickling before the internet, I can remember finding anything adult/tickling related was exciting. Now, the shear volume of choice not only allows us to discriminate when it comes to taste, it allows us to get bored with novelty.
My advice has always been: If producers are not making what you want, then you have to do it yourself. Only you can truly craft something the way you want it.
If filming a video is not in the cards, hiring the right model for a custom is certainly an alternative.

This. Exactly this. I'm friends with a few different clips4sale studio producers and this is EXACTLY what happens. They often express that every request they get comes from sources that believe they are the majority and 99% are not, despite having many shared opinions. Which, of course everyone will feel like they are in the majority because shared opinions gravitate to each other. Bubble effect.

Also, speaking from observation, I honestly feel like a majority of content is/has been the normal casual scenario with little or no bondage and victims pinned down playfully. For years that's all I used to see and still do. The generation of tickle tools and heavy bondage equipment is really only something that has become more common the last 5-6 years or so, and it's still really not that common. Used to be that Tickler in black had solid looking bondage devices and that was it. Now there's 3-5 studios maybe that have solid commercial looking devices. That's not much when you consider the 100's of producers. The growth in devices and technology is naturally gonna lead to longtime requested scenarios that previously weren't possible to now be produced. What we see now is the majority being catered to. It's honestly as simple as that.

Personally I prefer the heavier bondage and torturous scenarios, but that's just me. I gravitate towards that because everyday relatable stuff doesn't excite me as much. From speaking with a lot of clips4sale producers this line seems to be the majority as far as sales and traffic.

Actually, I've noticed that there IS more freestyle (and realistic) tickling than there used to be.

Off the top of my head:

Shy and Wild had a beautiful Asia Perez video called "Pleasing Her" where she's on a couch cuddled up with a guy as they're watching TV and he's sensually tickling her. It focuses on the romantic side of tickling and, oddly enough, the fact that there's music playing over it somehow enhances it. He also had a great video called Domestique where the model Makenna is tickled while doing the dishes, really beautiful stuff, you don't see that everyday. Both of these are more sensual.

Gemini Tickle Play from TMJ is a truly fantastic clip... if you want to see a girl get straddled on a couch, and then sat next to and having her legs squeezed (like you'd do in that situation!) and finally the 'ler standing over the couch while she lays down on her back, and his hand open claws her stomach...all the while trying to get her to admit something.....that's a fantastic freestyle one and something you seem to be looking for, Max. Here's what bothers ME, and echoing Max's comment, something that never happens in real life: THOSE STUPID FUCKING HAIRBRUSHES AND TOOTHBRUSHES! I shut the clip off as soon as they whip it out, brandishing it like it's the moment we've all been waiting for. I will NEVER stop complaining about them. It's all in imitation, it got started years ago and it's somehow become a "thing" with these companies. They saw one company do it and now they all do it. Every time this comes up in a thread, there's usually an outcry of agreement; whenever I talk to other ticklephiles, I never have once met someone that doesn't prefer fingers and mouth tickling. I see a toothbrush, even though I know it's clean, I'm grossed out. And a hairbrush just blocks the tickled area, and you get no sense of interplay between the tickler and the 'lee (there are exceptions, French Tickling seems to do a good job with the brush, though it's still used way too much, especially when you've got an expert tickler like he is).

Every time I see brushes and toothbrushes, I shut the clip off right there. And if it's anything more than a small portion of the clip? I feel ripped off and am VERY wary from buying from that company again. So....companies can now fire back all their bullshit about brushes and the customers....but I buy plenty of clips, and so I don't feel in any way that I'm not entitled to complain about this idiotic trend. 99% of the 'lers using these brushes don't even know how to use them (especially when you stick them in the hand of a tickle model, who is probably getting it for the first time and just starts scrubbing away like she's Cinderella). Tickle Abuse is particularly bad in this regard.

Also: if you're going to do an interview, DON'T ask them about "tell us about being tickled as a child". WASTE of a question and an icky one at that. No one wants to hear them talk about uncles and Dads and brothers. Start from once they're dating. TIB used to ask that in his videos, and once again, imitation rules the day with many companies, they thought THAT'S what we're all waiting to hear. We want to hear about experiences, feelings, attitudes....insight into the mind of a 'lee....If you need a list of questions, I'm your man. You might want to start with some of the ones I've already asked in this Forum.

As far as companies "listening to their customers".....those are the companies that don't have the fetish and don't understand it. If you understand the fetish, then you don't need to listen to anyone other than your tastes.

I actually feel like companies are being more adventurous than they used to.....in part, because of all the competition.

I feel the bondage is LESS fetishized than it used to be. Remember Max, when all the companies would have long shots of them panning up and down the rope showing the bondage.......or close ups of the wrists and hands tied up as she's laughing? You don't see that anymore!

Bondage does have its place in these videos, for many reasons......but I am happy to see "freestyle" and more realistic scenarios appearing more and more in video companies than they once did.

Finally some sane voices here. And as a ticklee, I am quite happy to read these posts. I haven't watched much of the tickle videos, but most of the messages I get involve guys asking how they would like to 'tie me down and tickle me for hours'. And I guess they get all such unrealistic fantasies through reading the stories here or watching the videos. I agree some stories here despite being unrealistic are genuinely erotic (like Ovda's stories). But seriously? Someone as ticklish as me might not be alive if I am tickled continuously for that long. I prefer the scenarios that MaxSpeer has described. Hmmmm I don't know about all that. Like it or not the tools like brushes are depicted in OUR art by OUR COMMUNITY right here on this forum and at gatherings and in other social media. It's part of the culture and at this point is as authentic as anything else. Your take on it is seemingly old guard, so to speak. Most people prefer it to hands only/no bondage, hence the demographic in not only viewership of clips(the producers I know say they rarely shoot without it because no tools/no bondage yields little or sometimes zero sales. Statistics, not opinion.) As well as the volume of these elements we ourselves in this community write into stories and draw into our art. I know I prefer those elements myself but my opinion by itself isn't that important. Also many of these companies do in fact have the fetish and are even active here and other places and have been for years. People have different interests within the fetish and this is just evidence of that, and the footage we see(and stories and artwork) are evidence of majority opinion. Supply/demand. There's nothing wrong with those with differing tastes but it's a bit alienating to suggest anything one doesn't like is "not realistic" or perhaps inauthentic and coming from those without the fetish.
