Yay! I haven't been able to do these lately (They're a pain in the ass to do from a phone when you can't copy and paste!)!
1. If you could dedicate one song to someone today, who would it be for and why?
I'm not much of a "song dedication" kinda guy. If one of my drivers and I have a long work day, I may play Europe's
the Final Countdown on my phone through the truck speaker when we're heading back from our last stop.
2. What do you feel is one of the most important factors in a good friendship?
Hmm... Embarrassed to admit it, but lately, I haven't been the most social crayon in the box... or the best with analogies. I'm gonna say being able to connect and shoot the shit with someone comfortably--actually having stuff to bullshit about. Conversational fluidity, if you will.
3. Is it easy for you to "forgive and forget" or are you a grudge holder?
A little bit of both. I'm very moody, and I bottle things up. I may instinctively forgive on the spot, especially if I don't completely grasp the scope of what someone has done to me until later. Then, resentment can build, which I don't feel always feel justified in expressing, since I've "forgiven" the person. It's the hit I have to take.
4. Despite how old you may be, do you feel you still have a lot to learn about sex and sexual chemistry?
I feel sexually repressed, at times. I know how to get a woman off, no problem, and I take PRIDE in that ability, but shit, a vibrator can do that, too. I'd like to experience a bit more sexually, outside of the mechanical aspects, but... I dunno.
5. Have you ever been falsely accused of something? If so, what was it and how did you rectify the situation?
It's hard to think of something significant.
6. What is your opinion on carrying a gun concealed vs. flashing it around for the world to see?
*deep breath* I did eight years in the Marine Corps, where "every Marine is a rifleman", and I work in the armored car industry, where I carry openly, in uniform, on a daily basis. The right to bear arms is something many in this country take for granted, but some may view that as the times of the "old west" are long gone, and there simply isn't a
need to sport gun-belts out on the street. If I saw more people carrying openly (non-uniformed civilians), I'd probably think it was strange (because it's not really common practice, anymore), but it IS an American right. If I was making a pick-up at a customer location, and saw a civilian wearing a gun-belt, I'd certainly watch their hands and keep an eye on them, but I'd doubt he'd be the one I'd have to worry about, because I can SEE his weapon, and I'd know if he was reaching for it. I'd be more worried about the guy loitering near my truck, or near the stop entrance, with his hands in his pockets. That'd be the person I'd constantly be checking, because I have NO IDEA what's in his pockets, why he's just standing around, or what have you. Concealed carry is a privilege granted to some, and open carry is an American right that sets this country apart from others. Displaying a weapon has deadly risks associated with it, just like everything else (A particular one that comes to mind for me, is texting and driving.). It all boils down to personal choice, as it IS a right. I don't take my weapon with me to go shopping, but I don't wanna shell out the cash for a concealed carry permit, and I'd feel like a dork carrying openly (A big, black, leather gun-belt just wouldn't look right when wearing Aeropostale.). When not armed at work, my weapon stays home, in my handgun safe, ready for home defense. I carry a knife with me when out and about, which less people would judge, because it's more utilitarian. The old, "bringing a knife to a gun-fight" adage aside, if I was attacked/mugged, I have mixed feelings on how to approach the scenario. Most people say you give an attacker what they want, but the objectivist in me says, "You cannot appease evil!" Some may view this as foolish, but if someone were to point a gun at me and make demands, I would feel that as a life-or-death issue, they're already taking my life into their hands when they decided to point that weapon at me. I'm gonna assume they will try to kill me even after they get what they want, so I will take my chances and fight.
7. [[I'm adding this again because some of the responses before were epic.]] What image/icon/graphic best represents your mood today?
8. What has the forum done for you lately?
Given me a place and a private blog to vent on, when I want to express things I don't feel comfortable expressing publicly/to my immediate family, as well as just a place to communicate with others to eliminate cabin fever.
9. You're in charge of creating a new Facebook application for billions of us to become obsessed with: What is it going to be called and what does it do?
Hmm... it would be a "nuisance" app. It would be the app that would pay attention to when you leave Facebook unattended and leave obnoxious status changes on your profile, and make you leave comments on others' walls that say things like "I'm a douchebag! I like penis!" Then, you'd have to go back and delete the comments before Facebooking family members and loved ones got confused and offended. It'd also open things up to annoy you while you WERE on Facebook, trying to do something else, changing and adding words to the comments and status changes you make, just to irritate you. It wouldn't be anything viral, because I'd advertise it as exactly what it is. If you're dumb enough to download the app, you deserve the irritation it provides!
10. Paste a song lyric here to anyone. Keep it anonymous.
"Skopadoppaboodeebedoobopbdaebdbesbebldooloobeebeedoobop. I'm the SKAT MAN! Skibbeedibbydipyoomdeedoodoo..."
