A nice way to start my vacation...
Jo, don't feel bad for bein' a day late! It's gotta be a pain in the butt thinking these up every week! Thanks for the diversion!
1.) List four things you have done that other people probably have not done.
Hmm, a difficult one right out the gate...
-When I was deployed via ship, I tried pizza from several different countries (trying to see who had the best pizza around the Mediterranean and beyond.), and determined that the best pizza I had was a microwave variety in Albania.
-In that same deployment, I temporarily worked with the HAZMAT department, working in the trash pulper, sorting through people's garbage. I managed to collect over 2000 Marlboro miles from people's discarded cigarette packs, in that short month I worked there, but never did anything with them.
-Survived a broad-side collision from a large, lunch truck. I was driving a Geo Metro. Metro was totalled, and I managed to just come away with bruised ribs.
-Read an entire, terrible book written by a friend of mine, and published through a print-on-demand company. It cost me $25 paperback, the grammar was horrendous, and many of the ideas were ripped off from other fantasy books. I felt dirty afterwards.
2.) What “little red flag” will cause you to end a date or immediately decide this person isn’t for you?
Hmm... the first one that comes to mind involved a woman who got physical with me within the first hour that I was at her house, when I barely knew her. She also gave me the most painful blow job I've ever had. It felt like I was having sex with the sharp edge of an open can, or that she was using a vegetable peeler on my penis.
3.) What do you feel you need to sacrifice or have sacrificed to be a part of a relationship?
Hmm... all the things I've sacrificed in different relationships: friends, kink, sex. Yeah, I don't much care for sacrificing things to be with someone. The principle of sacrifice is highly overrated, and should be reserved for heroes and martyrs.
4.) What’s the worst reason you gave, to someone, for breaking up?
The
only reason I've given someone to break up was that I didn't want to be with them anymore.
5.) What genre of movie is your life currently most like?
An Indie cult film with an obscure plot in which the sequence of events all occur out of order.
6.) What is something that people do in traffic that really bothers you?
Oooohh, the recent one that REALLY pissed me off was when traffic was backed up about two hours on the highway, and a few people tried to pass the entire line on the shoulder, acting like they were special like ambulances, or something.
7.) What’s the most expensive gift you’ve ever given someone?
Thinking back, and not counting larger utilitarian things, I'm guessing the XBox360. It was almost $400 when I bought it.
8.) What’s the most expensive gift you’ve ever received from someone?
I dunno. A computer, I guess.
9.) What was your favorite game to play as a child?
My friends and I used to have pretend, tag-team professional wrestling matches in the grass (or on the asphalt at school! lol) We'd do that until one of us would get hurt. Then our parents would yell at all of us and tell us we couldn't do it again, which we'd end up doing, anyway.
10.) Would you rather spend the rest of your life without a significant other, or would you rather have a partner who is extremely difficult?
Welllll, my wife's
pretty difficult at times, but I think I'll keep her!
As a serious response to the question, I don't believe in the mentality that "it's better to be with someone you don't like than it is being alone." I learned that it's wrong for anyone to expect you to be a square peg that can fit in a round hole, and if you're miserable, you need to get out.
Bonus: Post an Image for me that you'd like to see as a TMI Tuesday Banner.
