Video Stores...

Every now and then I hit the adult video stores even though I hate what is normally considered adult vids. You'll never see me watching a fuck flick.
Anyway, a few years ago you could usually find maybe 15 to 20 tickle vids in the stores in my area.
Now there's never any.
Is this trend true in your areas>?

Same here, Tron. I have one adult vid store about 5 miles from my house and the only "fetish" vids they have are soft-bondage and maybe 1 or 2 spanking vids, which I am not all that into, personally.

The rest of the vids are vanilla porn, which I am not into that much, either.

I tend to like Jeffs videos. Most are pretty damn good. BUT Jeff hasn't produced a new video in months.

I atually drove about an hour tonight. To a different city. And no luck. No vids whatsoever!

Adult video stores very quite a bit in what they sell. I have seen some with tons of bondage and fetish stuff including tickling vids. Others I have seen with maybe one or two bondage vids and no tickling stuff. This is mainly due to the owner and his tastes and of course to what sells. The majority of bondage and fetish films are being purchased through the internet now so the decline in retail adult stores is understandable. Stuff in adult stores is there but you have to look around.

A.N.A. usually has a pretty good collection of vids, as well. They usually concentrate more on foot tickling and while there is nothing wrong with that, imho, I am pretty much a "full body tickler".

......before I 'logged on' to the internet, there was this special little store that was about 15 miles out of town from where I lived, and they had what I felt at the time was a great collection of tickling videos.

The adult video stores here carry California Star and some Vid-Tech stuff. I wish they carry other producers to rent. I rent these titles in hope that the management will see tickling videos being rented and will order more. I really don't like Cal-Star videos all that much.

The adult video stores in New York City have not had tickling videos for many years. Tickling videos and other fetish videos can be found at Kinematics, 61 West 37th Street. They sell fetish clothing and magazines as well. TFTA was available there.

Well, I have never seen anything that could be considered a tickle vid in the video stores over here (I'm living in Austria). At least personally I don't consider 45 minutes of vanilla soft porn with about three seconds of one gal touching the other one with a feather, with no laughing/squirming/whatever, a "tickle vid".

Alas, at least here in Austria (and southern Germany as well) the highway gas stations and restops do oftentimes offer a few (German) tickle vids. Granted, most of them are rather corny, but, hey, what do you expect from a gas station?

Maybe there are other spots in the world where this is true, too.

I discovered tickling videos about three years ago-
around the time I found the T.M.F. I guess.

Since then I have scowered most video stores from Key
Largo to north palm beach county. I have probably
purchased two dozen used tickle vids over the years.
I imagine I have one of the larger collections of
used vids in south florida. Which ain't much.
I purchased most of them for under 15 bucks each.
Half of them worth watching more than once.

In those three years, the number of videos available
have skyrocketed, due to the internet and some fine
folks around here, to be sure!

I once asked a video store owner about it. She said
She bought videos by the lot from various distributors
and it would be too costly to purchase ,well, from
the producers around here, directly.


There is a giant video store that carries new CalStar
crap. They always have half a dozen titles at any given
time, and usually two or three copies of each.

Some one must be renting them if they keep updating!

I think if they were to carry some of the ones linked
to the T.M.F., they would rent those babies often!

That is true for some tickling videos, but let's face it, almost all tickling videos are meant for arousal, may they contain nudity or not. So while it's not necessarily porn (I certainly don't see my own videos as porn), they're still aimed at an adult audience. I mean, why would someone rent a tickling movie if it weren't for basically the same reasons people watch a typical skin flick? They're fetish videos, after all. That makes them unsuitable for video stores that don't have adult sections. Besides, while there are producers that make very professional looking videos, many among us produce stuff that's a lot more amateur in nature. I can't imagine that stuff in actual video stores. And with a few possible exceptions, most of the professional stuff tends to be from big companies that do more adult content, i.e. nudity and sexual activities.

Also, personally speaking, I much prefer to remain in total control over the distribution of my own material. It's too personal for mainstream sales. Plus I don't think most of my models would be especially happy about it.

I'd have to say no. The tickling community appears to be several tens of thousands strong worldwide, possibly more than that, but that's still very few people compared to the rest of the population. Tickling is far from the most common fetish (compared to feet or S&M, for instance). Besides, the material found online is more than enough for most people. I don't think videos stores would make much profit from such videos.
