I got my discharge from Travis AFB. Have you been there? Also I had to report to Travis to get flights to Hickam AFB where I was stationed.

I have been there. But only passing through.
 
Have you ever been to Edward AFB? I was just passing through, the C-130 was carrying toolboxes for the C-5A which was coming off the production line and was going to Edwards for test flights.

Been there once. Most of the Bases I've been to, I was only pasing through and stayed not more than a day or less. Usually the C-130 just stopped and would get refueled, serviced, etc. and the flightcrew and passengers would get out and go to the messhall or go tthe BX or whatever while that happened.
