I think they'll have a couple of matches, then guys will go out to the ring and talk alot, then guys will cheat and interfere during matches.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of Alex's predictions come true. I'm going to go out on a limb and venture to say that we will see the Nature Boy say "WHOOO!".

It's a good thing some of the gang is back with all the injuries taking several guys out of action in the past couple of weeks!

I'm looking forward to seeing Lesnar finally releasing his rage on Heyman this thursday on Smackdown. It was pretty predictible that Lesnar would choose Heyman as the member of Team Angle he wants to face, but its still something thats bound to be great and entertaining. That is of course assuming there is no interference, disqualifications, or what have you. Seeing how the match is a cage match, it makes those negative possibilites less likely, so thats good.

I apologize if I'm not supposed to be posting about Smackdown in a Raw thread. I just didn't see the point in making a seperate thread for it.

I also want to see Hogan actually have more matches and not just talk or supplement the plot.

He came back to the WWE, and he's a legend. So he should actually be having more matches, and not just on pay-per-view or in tag-team matches. I feel it would help build whatever role he's playing if he had more single matches and rose up the ladder again to face the champion. Whomever that may be in the future.

Do you agree? Or is he just a has-been for you?

Re Hogan's lack of matches: Either it's because he's not in good enough shape to wrestle a more regular schedule (you don't see Shawn Michaels having a match every week either), or simply because he's Hogan and having him squash some jobber wouldn't really mean anything.

As for Raw, it was an okay show. Triple H's opening promo was a good setup for the Wrestlemania match -- if it didn't get you wanting to see Booker kick that smirk through the back of his head, you aren't a fan. Rock and the Hurricane weren't quite as funny as last week, but still hilarious. The actual wrestling was mostly just there, though, and the dead crowd didn't help things.

Hogan is still having back trouble and is unable to wrestle on a more regular basis. THat's probably a good thing since he's not very good anymore. Don't get me wrong. I like the guy. But, he just doesn't have the strength and flexibility to do some of that stuff. I'm tired of watching guys pull shots to the point where it's so obvious that they don't connect. THAT'S what gives it the rep of being fake. Staged?...you betcha. Fake?...only if you're superman and can do all that stuff without using any energy or being hurt.

I was impressed by Austiin's comments last night...and the other night at No Way Out. He really seems happy to be back. I hope he'll listen to his body and not hurt himself by doing too much before he's back in ring shape.

As for the Rock... I just love that guy! Whether he's a face or heal, he does a great job and sells it well. I like the little songs and other anticks he's doing. He always was a great speaker. If they let him continue to play with that, I think they'll do well.

Which branch do you think is better or is better off then the other? Smackdown or Raw?

Smackdown hasn't been all that good lately, and its more about building up to Wrestlmania then anything else. But then it seems Raw is having the same troubles.

Another question, do you feel the right wrestlers are on the right show? Ever since Flair and McMahon split the business up, things haven't been the same.

Yeah, thats very true. It would seem that the more comical wrestlers and talent would be better suited for Smackdown, and the more hardcore folks, for Raw.

I like Kane. I wish he was on Smackdown. I'd rather have him there then the Big Show for example. Even though Kurt Angle is a good money maker for the WWE, I sometimes feel he should be on Raw, and not Smackdown. Booker T should be on Smackdown also.

More of the crusier weights from Smackdown should go to Raw, and Raw should give Smackdown more heavy weights or hardcore folks.

At least, thats what I would like. It might not be such a good idea.

And the Divas should be equally shared. It seems Raw has the advantage as far as thats concerned.

Long Island is infamous for cold and/or hostile wrestling crowds. They were the ones who booed the Rock at last year's Summerslam, for instance.

Smackdown is the better show, if only because it has better wrestling talent -- Benoit, Angle, Lesnar, Mysterio, the Guerreros, etc. Of course, it also has the Big Show, but nobody's perfect. Raw is too dominated by Triple H for my taste.

the Rock is the man!!! like Ann said, whether he is a "face" or a "heel", Rocky is always entertaining. i love that guy!!

seeing Austin back is cool. i wish i could give a stunner to some people.....

i think wrestling is getting entertaining again. the big stars are back like Rock and Austin. it's also good to see Booker T get his shot at the big time. Wrestlemania should be good.

Who is your favorite wrestler?

Mine is a tie between the retired Mick Foley (in all his peronas, mainly Cactus Jack), and the Undertaker.

my favorite wrestler of all time is Hulk Hogan. i hope i can meet the man one day because he was my hero back in high school. i am a Hulkamaniac for life!!!!

others are the Rock, Austin, Triple H and Kurt Angle. there are others, but these guys stand out in my mind...

Thats nice. Do you remember the narcisist Lex Lugar? A long time ago, when I was about 10 or so my father had taken me and my best friend at the time to a live event at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim Califoria.

Anyways, we stopped at a gas station near the arena to get some things, and I had the fate chance of meeting Lex there too. He was dressed casually of course and he drove a Ford Escort I believe. He got off the car about the same time we did, and me, my friend, went up to him when he was paying for something inside the station, and it meant a lot to me, and I was so amazed at the time.

I remember asking "Are you Lex Lugar!?"

"Yes I am."- Lugar

"Can we have your autograph!?"

"Sure, whats your name?"- Lugar

"Damien, and my friend is Dominic!"

He said something else and then he left. I think he mis-spelled my name and my friends name though.

And anyways, he was kind enough to sign our autographs before he got in his car and took off. I still have the autograph around my house somewhere.

And its kind of funny because when it was time to go to the event, and he had his match with the Undertaker, I remember him trying to take Taker out with that famed "rod" he has in his arm, and it wasn't working. So eventually, after the Undertaker just kept getting back up, he ran like a coward out of the ring, and out of the arena almost screaming in fear. It may seem kind of phoney, but it was a magical time for me.

rock would have to be #1. with rvd, kane, and edge all tied for the next spot. steve austin i like too.
for my money, smackdown is the better of the 2 shows. the split has turned out to be even worse than i feared it would be! and eric bitchoff is the pits.

Drew and I were discussing the possibility of the brand extensions (Raw & Smackdown) combining staff once again. There've been several injuries of late reported on the wrestling sites....Kurt Angle (out with a neck injury), Edge (ditto), Randy Orton (out with a broken foot after just returning from the shoulder injury). The list goes on and on. They may need to mix the guys back up in order to provide a good show. Maybe Rock will move to Smackdown since he's still free to choose? Who knows?

As for my fav wrestlers...Rock (ring personality), Kurt (wrestling ability) and HBK (all around good guy).
