Why aren't there more women on these forums?

Don't need to ask them. They tell you all the time. You got all these damn
pervs and people who live in a fantasy world where they think every girl
wants to be tickled, wants to rp with them, will do anything they ask. I
had a friend who was hurt today because people demanded rps and such
even after she said no. Majority of the men here have no respect for what
a woman wants. Those that want to rp and want to tickle or be tickled, is
there choice. Those that don't, learn to RESPECT them!

Dragon hit the nail on the head, really.
Not that I can say what the people here are like, I've only been here, what, three days? But I couldn't imagine a site like this NOT attracting those kind of men.
I don't think there's a problem for looking for an RP partner... but pursuing and berating someone about is awful.

LOL. There are too many women here. Pics everywhere. Look around the side menu and header. Just look! What do you really want out of women you can't touch (?) ;)

Women are more subtle and more well-hidden, because any woman making herself public gets flocked by countless of horny males. Many women are easily creeped out like that. So guess we have to learn to deal with this sausage fest here.

It's kind of ironic. Horny males who can't be subtle creep out the women. Lesser women equal more creepy messages per woman making it even less attractive for females to join. Then there are of course the stronger women who are able to filter out and ignore unwanted attention.

I love reading the dude responses. They are such women experts...lol

To be honest, though, it's probably got a lot to do with the fact that men are accepted as, and expected to be, openly sexual creatures while women are often told to suppress this, albeit while still appearing sexy. Gradually, those attitudes are changing, but in general, I think that's where society's been for a while now and thus the effect is that women are not open about what they like or want. They may not even realize what it is they want in order to search for it. I mean, shit, what percentage of women can't even orgasm consistently?

On the flip side, for argument's sake, since males tend to be the more sexually expressive of the genders, it's probably more likely that in the real world they may be more accepting of kink than your average vanilla female and thus said kinky female doesn't have to resort to forums such as this. Add to that that most females are not as visual as men and tend to not opt for porn vids / pics as well as the fact that many females are lees while many men are lers (it is much easier to ask someone to tickle you versus endure being tickled) and it's not surprising that there are not many females here.

That said, I've been a member since 2003 and while the creepy horny male messages don't completely go away, they are very few and far between for me now. Just my .02.

There are many many women here on the TMF... and the majority are 18 years old, are incredibly ticklish on their feeeeeeeet, but oddly look like 30-40 year old pajama boys trolling from their mother's basement with a jar of Vaseline in hand.

The TMF: Trust Me i'm Female.

Personally, I think it works this way. Random guy comments on lack of "available women." Conversation devolves to a point in which it's all blamed on the "creepers." This is a very popular strategy among certain guys. They love to talk about the "creepers" because they think it somehow sends the message, "Check ME out ladies. I'm not like those other guys. You can trust ME because I'M just chock full of respect here."

If you ask me, the guys doing this strike me as more desperate than the guys who come out and say what they want.

LoL. I don't think of this forum as a means to meet females but rather as a way to discuss, review media and such things. Most females here don't live in the Flemish Region/The Netherlands anyway, and while elsewhere in Europe would be fine as well, I find it a lot easier to meet females elsewhere (though kudos to those who meet women here which happens often enough I'd reckon). So no white knight here. And people do what they want. I'm not blaming anyone. However, one female joins, countless of men jump on it. It's normal behaviour which you even acknowledge here. And I still rest my case in that I do believe more females lurk than males.

I don't know, that still sounds vastly preferable to letting creepers do their thing without calling them out on it. At least those kinds of people aren't harassing anyone?

Plus, it's a little unfair to assume that of anybody who calls out people on that kind of behavior. Some people just want their fetish community to be a little more classier, no?

Putting to one side the central question of the thread for a second (cos I think it's been covered pretty well by other members)...

lol Yes. I've definitely seen this tactic employed in the past. Opportunism dressed as gallantry.

It goes without saying that if we see a person behaving in a way we consider inappropriate, we should call them out on it. But I think, though DAJT can answer for himself of course, that he was referring to instances where a member makes a sweeping comment in order to make themselves look a cut above the rest. I've seen it done regarding creepiness, shallowness, whatever negative trait it is that might be seized upon.

I think more often than not a few guys don't give the women the respect they deserve, and treat them in a different way on here, to what they would outside in the real world.

It's pretty cool to read your posts and threads from a few years ago. I think back to where I was, what was important then and who was in my life.

I think we did a pretty good job with answering the question those years ago.

I agree that pervs don't help. But that doesn't explain the lack of women on here. The reality is this site and many like it don't offer women much. Why chat with anonymous men that claim to be able to fulfill her fantasies when many men in real life would be able/willing to do the same exact thing? What straight heterosexual male wouldn't tickle an attractive woman to indulge her fantasies? What would she get here? People calling her fake if she posts a photo. People sending harassing mail. HD vids that are male centric vs the real thing?

This. Nailed it.

Right, I'm not saying that's something that shouldn't be regarded with disdain, but saying those kind of people are worse than those who constantly harass female members seems a bit of an exaggeration to me. But then I suppose there is the special kind of person that constantly harasses female members to tell them they're better than all the others and should be given a chance. And that's just... Wow.

Actually from what I've heard, people without this kink just don't understand it, regardless of gender. Hell, just look up a few posts:

100% agreed! Yeah, I could find a ler who is into tickling. But would I find one who I actually could trust and like? Much harder! The community especially in this country isn't that big. And to be honest: guys who aren't into tickling just DON'T F*****ING GET IT!! This is how most every conversation with a guy who doesn't have a tickling fetish goes:

Him: "So what turns you on?"
Me: "Tickling!"
Him: "With the tongue on your clit?"

Fail right there.

I think the better question is what is the reason that the women that are here, here? From the videos, to the stories, to the advertisements, this site is oriented to males. Don't get me wrong, I have no complaint about that, but then again I've never been interested in using the TMF as some type of dating site. If I wanted to meet women, I think I would go to a place that actually has plenty of women.

How do you orient this site toward females then? Sure, the adds on the left side (sponsors) are male oriented (aside from MTJ probably which caters both to males as females). But most women aren't exactly asexual nor forbidden to share their input right? Stories for instance are a medium women are stereotyped to enjoy more than males.

There are other reasons than this site not being oriented at females enough in my opinion. Those reasons are as stated here, lower demand.

I don't think anybody said that. I mean, those sort of cynical, self-promoting tactics that I alluded to are trivial when contrasted with genuine harassment. But they still don't help the situation. It doesn't exactly enhance the forum's reputation when a member is almost promoting - for their own ends - the most unfortunate and unpleasant aspects of this kind of community: giving the impression that the forum were like an incubator for some sort of sinister 'creep' pathogen or something like that lol.

I don't think you orient this site to females, trying to do so would be a fool's errand. You would probably succeed in turning off your male audience more than you would in attracting females. A tickling fetish is sexually in nature and men and women have different approaches to sexuality. There is nothing wrong with that.

Indeed. I think most of us would completely agree, as do I.
