Why is Deviantart getting worse and worse?

Like 5 years ago I could go to DA and search by the categories that they had. Then they eliminated that and so my solution was keywords, which if an artist doesn't use then I'd miss their content, but I figure tickle, tickling, tickles, etc. doing this for every variation should at least get me the majority of new content when I check DA every Friday night. Course it does make it difficult if the site were experiencing an issue on Friday. It hasn't until tonight. Now when I search for most recent of these keywords all I can do is scroll back 4 days. So is this a new temporary issue or is this a new part of DA making it increasingly difficult for those of us to use their website?

well it's been going downhill for a while, ever since the permanent stay of eclipse and then the constant ads for the core feature it's clear it's being sold out

the sad truth is that as soon as they get bought out by a bigger company or business the whole site will go to shit, it's only a matter of time

They're also banning "real people" and "Non consensual" acts, such as tickle torture...

Think I might get booted off it soon...

If you are searching for topics about "TICKLING" or something similar, Deviant Art it is a total waste of time! You can't find anything without a specific link.

Deviantart has been going down the drain for years now. Eclipse certainly didn't help the matter. Then there's the censoring as well. I guess when a lot of the SFW professionals jumped ship to Artstation and the like dA was mostly left with the kink art and the absolute bottom end of amateur work. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion, but I can see how that doesn't exactly appeal to whomever owns the site now. So they've been trying to "fix" things ever since, with every fix making stuff worse. I gave up posting my work on dA years ago. with all the hoops one has to jump through as a NSFW artist, it's really not worth bothering. I still check dA regularly as I've got a huge amount of artists on my watchlist, but I don't go out of my way trying to search for it.

And the bad thing is I've always hoped that DA was all I needed to get what tickling art has come out in the past week. Realizing a year ago that Patreon was a really great thing too, but how many other sites would I need to be aware of to capture everything. One of the bad things about the internet. To keep in touch with friends and family would sort of need to be on TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Like at least we have basically only Google for searches. Even though that creates a monopoly.

The "G"-word doesn't have a monopoly on search engines. If you want to search with no fears of being tracked or recorded, use DuckDuckGo.com. I've been using them for searches for years. They don't track, they don't record or sell your search history, and best of all, they don't filter results so you see only what "G" wants you to see.

They still have a decent amount of art, but recently it seems like they have it out for the fetish and soft-core porn community. Sending letters telling artists to remove their stuff or get suspended/banned, etc. Recently got rid of all my paid stuff like patreon and so on, because money is tight, so besides this site, Deviant is my one link to the artistic side of the fetish community, but Deviant seems determined to end that. Think its time to pack up and move on honestly. Let DeviantArt burn.

agreed, it's not the same as it was back around the early 2000s

I don't understand. If I search tickling and set the time to the most recent I see all the new works tagged with tickling. I'm not having this problem.

If it burns, what is the replacement? Surely not twitter. Here's my experience with twitter: I find an artist, I click Media because I don't want to see anything not related to their art... and what do I see? about 10 memes images in between actual art. That is no way to look through someone's gallery. On deviantart it's the art and that's it, but on twitter you have to see a bunch of nonsense. No thanks!

There's other art sites out there besides deviantart that fetishists use

Off topic, but while we're talking about DA, does anyone remember a certain comic type thing on there. It featured 3 agent women on a mission. They went down different tubes and slowly lose parts of clothing while getting their breasts tickled by like sea wildlife and a huge octopus at the end? I've been looking for this for years now
