I good friend of mine said I should post to my blog more often. Problem is, I don't know exactly what to write about. So I guess, to get started I'll just have to pick something to start on.
I've been living in a surburb of Philadelphia, PA for some time now, three of them, actually. Being the scant age of 22, it's not easy for someone to just up and leave the state for another residence, as it's expensive and takes quite some time. Living check to check and working full time is not exactly condusive to this notion. Not like I have any reason to move, I like the area and it's close to the NEST event.
You may be asking, how does someone work full time and be so broke? Well, I have nice things, and I like to keep it that way - gas is not cheap, nor is insurance for a young male. Rent, utilities, and other expenses pile up quickly, and poof - money is gone.
Presently, I live with my lovely girlfriend Sapphire, but not our own. We live with two roommates, one of which stays in his room and works the third shirt at his job, so I pretty much never see him. Our other roomate, however, is a major problem. She's a self-centered, inconsiderate, lying sack of shit who thinks that since we're living with her, she can make or break any rules she wishes. Simply being around her severely irritates me to no end.
However, a couple of fortunate turns of events recently have led me into a nice comfy position with a network consulting company, and now money is less tight. As such, I've been able to start saving money (finally), and this past Friday Sapphire and I went out to look at apartments. There's a really nice place in a residential area that we've applied for, and upon acception, we'll be out of this hellhole forever.
The other thing is, our bitchy roommate is a pain in the ass when it comes to my tickling video shoots, and tries to tell me I'm "not allowed" to shoot outside of certain restrictive timeframes. To reduce the stress until we leave, I don't argue with her, but the apartment we're looking at is a 2 bedroom, which means I will have a spare room in which to do my shoots. Oh sweet freedom.
Anyway, the application is being processed this weekend, and hopefully we'll get a nice phone call on Monday morning.
Well, I got distracted. If you've read on this far, thanks for your patience. I might write again in a day or so, if I come up with something else to waste your time with.
