Hi everyone!
This week ~ June 7th to 12th ~ I was on vacation in Tenessee. Exact location? Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. After a nine hour drive down from my Pennslyvania home with my family, we checked into the Inn At Christmas Place. It really is beautiful, and if any of yu people who work at Christmas Place read this, it is a great hotel and I loved it.
Anyway...We went to the amusement park there, DollyWood, and the water park, Splash Country. DollyWood has the Number 1 Best Wooden Roller Coaster in the World, called Thunderhead. It is AWESOME! (I got the first official ride of the day Monday and Wednesday, and I got stuck on the lift hill Wednesday! But we were back and rolling within a few minutes.) Other great rides at DollyWood are Mystery Mine and Tennessee Tornado, and Daredevil Falls.
At Splash Country, it was a hot day, but really nice. Splash Country has Tennessee's tallest and steepest water slide, called Fire Tower Falls. (I thought it was really fun and I was on it 26 times that day)
Suprisingly, we had little waits in the lines at both parks. The maximum wait was like 10 minutes, I suggest coming about an hour before the parks open, and early in the summer.
We also went hiking through the beautiful Smokey Mountains. I saw 2 bears, and they were adorable. (Wild, savage, aggressive bears!)
I saw a total of 24 deer on my trip, too.
Anyway, Tennessee is really a beautiful place, especially the mountains. I hope you like it if you ever go there.
Ok...I bored you enough, buhbye!
